Hi, I’m Jamie, an Australian‑based player finally jumping from watching YouTube into actually rolling some dice myself. I love story‑driven, character‑focused games with a good splash of combat rather than pure dungeon crawls. My favourite crew to watch is the Oxventurers Guild, so I’m looking for similar rule‑of‑cool vibes – fast and loose when it makes the story more epic or hilarious, with room for gallows humour and messy characters. Experience‑wise, I’m new to playing but not to worlds, story, or character building. I’ve watched a lot of D&D actual play and played the video game versions of several systems, so I understand the basics and I’m a quick learner. I’m neurodivergent, so I really appreciate patient tables who don’t mind the occasional rules reminder or technical question. Right now I’m playing with a few different character ideas and arcs, especially for Call of Cthulhu, so if you’re a GM who loves developing things with players and doesn’t mind getting a little weird with it, we’ll definitely get along well. I enjoy morally grey characters and rich story, and I don’t mind losing my character if it makes for a great moment in the narrative. I’m in ACST and looking for online games. Evenings and weekends are generally best; I can commit to a regular weekly or fortnightly session if the vibe is right, and I do my best to show up consistently and communicate if life gets in the way. I’ve also been bitten by a snake and a baby shark. If you have a non‑venomous pet spider, let me know.
