**About the Game**
Step into the eccentric world of Saalda, where much adventure awaits! The world is restoring order, slowly but surely, after three thousand years of chaos. That chaos stemming from an event known as “Tombiyo”, in which a mysterious witch named Lady JaeJin wreaked havoc throughout the land, for unknown reasons. Kingdoms fell, society crumbled with law and tranquility were consumed with anarchy. It was questioned why no divine intervention came in these times, seemingly the gods forsaking their followers with their absence.
For the past five hundred years, order has began establishing itself once again Not without trial and error, though. Attempts at governments, kingdoms, organizations, militaries and the like have risen and fallen. Through persistence and hope for a future, some have been created and withstood the test of time. Such as the metropolis that is island’s capital, the economical growth of the business savvy Infernal Inquisition, or recently established E.C.H.O., the unofficial military force of Saalda. In their wake, some other groups and societies are budding as well.
In this time of reconstruction, a major part is the religious renaissance. With some people even forgetting there were possibly gods of the past, finding new ways to worship, primarily through ideals, rather than divine figures. Be it the nature that is abundant, to something as simple as the burning ember on a candle. Others have found figures to prayer to, one being the aforementioned nomadic woman that is JaeJin, who still roams. Another is a creature that had emerged during the three thousand years of chaos, known as The Caller, a seemingly necromantic grim reaper of sorts, wandering the material and soul planes of Saalda.
Do you wish to join fellow adventurers as you stumble upon and unravel the mysteries of Saalda?
**Religious Renaissance and Magical Implications**
Due to lost text and practices being discovered in the ruins of the yester world, a resurgence of religion/beliefs have become known.
There are some who celebrate the ideals they find personally, or listen to those preaching their own.
Divine Casters, and to a lesser extent the Arcane, are a subject of controversy. Logically, their magic being gifted by unseen forces would prove the existence of divine figures.
The unseen the key word, as no one knows what this magic truly means, even the caster themselves in some cases. They could be abominations plotting something, or could be a curse.
Other’s celebrate these casters, as the indirect proof of more is comforting in a world still finding its footing.
**About Gamestyle**
I personally really enjoy RPG’s as the DM and players combing their imaginations in order to create a great story, mixed in with the casual lightheartedness.
I highly value the player characters’ stories, and hope to bring them to life through our sessions.
The tone of the game is definitely a mix of lighthearted mixed with serious moments when the time calls for it.
**Game Info**
Saturdays, preferably in the afternoons around 12pm -3pm Central Standard Time, or 1pm-4pm CST.
Using Discord for voice, Roll20 as platform
Looking for 4-5 players in total, very beginner friendly!
**Character Creation**
We are starting at Lv2
Ability scores will be decided by each player rolling a set 6 4d6’s, and whoever’s set is agreed on will be the starting score. (Everyone starts equal)
3rd Party is allowed WITH APPROVAL
I do want to try to make a custom background skills/perks/feats with your characters as well, since I love seeing players bring their characters to life. Or we can use a pre established feats, either works!
