My name is Jared [He/Him/HIs], and I'm a Queer POC TTRPG player who's been in the space for over ten years. (Getting all of the potentially controversial things out of the way from the start, so there are no surprises lol.) As a player to the GM: I try to keep my investment to games as the same level as the GM invests within the game. I tend to match energy with whatever the GM establishes they are excited about. For a game with a GM who has spent extensive time and effort on exploration, I will naturally create a character that has good survival and perception so they can show what they've prepared. For a game with a GM that has created complex lore, I'll build a character with good history and int skills to make sure I can pick up on it. For a game with a GM who focuses on tactical combat, I'll build a character with resilience and a good balance of short-term and long-term abilities to withstand days full of violence. Either way, I try to clock what aspects the GM is most excited about working with for the campaign and work to find a way to help make those aspects shine. As a player in a party: I tend to be a good 'fill' player when it comes to new tables. Until I'm familiar with a group, I tend to take on mechanical and social roles within a group that allow everyone to get along and get to know each other. I'll try to drum up conversations to gauge where everyone is with character creation, interact with quiet characters during the game if it seems they haven't been quite as involved, and build characters with supporting roles and abilities to help keep characters alive, so fellow players can tell the stories they work hard on coming up with. As I get more comfortable, I generally fall back and find the best ways to cultivate good energy and fun within the game and try to be the oil that makes the machine run just a bit smoother. As a player of system: I tend to enjoy the mechanics of the system just as much as I enjoy embodying the character I am playing. The 'PG' in TTRPG is just as important as the 'R' is for me, and oftentimes it means that I create characters that utilize the 'Rules as Written' just as often as they utilize the 'Rule of Cool'. If I play within your game, expect my character design choices to be just as nuanced as my roleplay choices. I tend to build my characters with flaws, motivations, and reasoning to aspire to the heights of what is possible within a given world and setting, but I also build them with a desire to live and will often mechanically pick choices that allow them to survive to ensure they can accomplish said goals. While it is admittedly a form of powergaming, I often use it to support the party, often defaulting to creating characters that fulfil the 'support' or 'frontline' roles instead of flashier roles like 'DPS' and 'Face' as they don't suit how my comforts.

Hey oh just a player Looking for a group, happy with just about anything. Want to learn how to use foundry and I’m a fan of the Eldritch/darker settings struggles with only a faint light of hope though as I said just about anything. I am 16… which will probably drive me away from a lot of opportunities. But I’m patient, quiet enough and strive to not be the problem player. I roleplay and don’t really power fantasize enjoy it for the story, laughs and struggles. If my character dies oh well, it’s what it makes it so impactful after all. I’m available most days every other week and flexible. Comfortable with mature content doesn’t really bother me. I may not pursue such things hm hm but if that’s what others want to do go ahead. To know a little about me - One of my favorite games for atmosphere is Frost Punk if that tells you anything a very fun setting with a lovely soundtrack - I’m American, god bless the usa I suppose - Unbiased on your interest and just about everyone has my respect until you lose it. - I do have a vision issue so I may have struggles or take a little longer to find things I’m unfamiliar with. - Take notes and usually have an alright memory - you have my full focus, no background activities, no other noises besides myself and.. maybe some birds every once in a while. - I want those around me in the table to have there moments without any interruptions from me - Male, average no real views on what your interest are, aslong as you don’t make it my problem. - More into taking the support role in a group - If you’re into recording and posting your games go ahead, you have permission from me - I don’t make any personal problems yours, we all have something and quite honestly that doesn’t need to be shared with strangers - Love coffee, only a one cup and done kind of person though - Homebrew Rules that make the campaign harder are always fun in balance of course to me. Hi my name is Dan. I'm interested in Hosting (or joining) a group in Lakewood Colorado. I can play or DM. I am ideally looking for an every-other week session, Friday night would be ideal, but I have some flexibility. I'd like to create/join a group of about 5-6 players who are all "mature" adults. Gender, LGBTQ, race, political ideology, religious beliefs, and skill level don't mater to me (although if it matters to you, I'm a straight, white, male, Democrat, Atheist, who is a cat lover) . What does matter to me is finding a group that is dependable, and enjoys an immersive story driven campaign that is balanced, with adventure, character growth, problem solving, and focused role-playing, not merely hack and slash! If I am DM-ing, we will be playing 5th ed D&D. I will run a home brewed campaign set in the Forgotten Realms along the Sword Coast, set around the date 1500 DR. Characters will start at 3rd level and continue to a minimum of 13th level. I have a dedicated gaming space at my house in the Green Mountain region of Lakewood. If I am joining a pre-existing group, I will play whatever alignment, class and race the DM feels will complement the group. I'm willing to travel 10-15ish miles to join a pre-existing group. About myself: I go by Halkan, and I'm a 32 yr old Black queer person looking for a campaign to join; I'm open to all settings, and the only content I won't tolerate in a campaign is anything condoning sexual violence or genocide of any kind. I've been learning to play since around 2016, and have played several campaigns in the past. I also do light homebrews, sprinkling in ancestral cultures as part of my character's gear and mannerisms. I recently started cosplaying and doing skits as my character, but I don't use campaign antics as inspiration unless the rest of the group is okay with it. I'm available for campaigns running on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays, and I have both Discord and Roll20 accounts, though I am open to making accounts on other platforms if necessary. About my character: I play a high elf bard with the sage background; I don't do the whole "horny bard" thing because it's overplayed to the point of being annoying, and flavour them for both combat and support, depending on what the party needs. Their backstory is that they studied in a spy academy in their bronze elf city, though their passion has always been art and history. They left on the eve of their centennial birthday to learn about the rest of the world through the songs and stories of the bards the world over, delving into ruins to find the truth behind the legends. They mainly travel on horseback, carrying a shotel (curved shortsword of the Oromo people) and dagger. If starting with max gold rather than adventuring gear, they'll have a shortsword and dagger as their main weapon, studded leather armour, a lute, an entertainer's pack, a draft horse with a riding saddle packed with a hunting trap and fishing gear, and 2 gold pieces left over; if starting with adventuring gear, as much as possible will be swapped out to get as close to their preferred loadout as possible.
