Description

I am very new to D&D, but completely obsessed with it after completing the Stormwreck Isle campaign. Me (39F) and 5 of my closest 40-year-old friends decided we want to learn to play together. I am now a DM for our group of total newbies (blind leading the blind) and would really like to gain some player experience. I am looking for a group that will help me fully understand rulesets and common interactions without losing patience with me.  I have gotten really good at referencing the PHB, DMG, and Monster Manual, but I struggle to recall that information quickly. Our current group really is just one combat encounter after another, with very little roleplay. I'm hoping that playing with other groups will teach me creative ways to incorporate more roleplay organically. Of course I'm nervous to meet new people, but I'm also super excited!! I am a huge Tolkien fanatic, and lover of high and dark fantasy.
