Troika! Is the "Abstract Painting of TTRPGs"  It's Role play heavy and has a, interpretive and collaborative world-building style. (Weekly Sunday 7pm to 10pm latest 11pm) [Relatively long form] System: [Troika!] System details - “A game where players will travel by eldritch portal and non-euclidean labyrinth and golden - sailed barge between the uncountable crystal spheres and Demi-plane strung delicately across the hump-backed sky.” (If that didn't make sense to you, it's because it doesn't. We have to make sense out of it together, and then that's how we create the world of Troika! ) System complexity - Easy System mechanics: The system uses the D6 or 2d6 for practically all roles and has a cool mechanic, where sometimes you need to roll low and sometimes you need to roll high. Practically every type of role you will do can be summarised on a cheat sheet small enough to be part of a character sheet. So if you understand DND or any other more complicated system, you'll be fine with this. System intention: the system allows you to interpret your character in a way that makes it your own. I will then take the feedback from how you created that character and then shape the world to reflect that character then allow you to shape large parts of it. Because of this it is very player input heavy and very role-play heavy. There is also quite a bit of combat that aims to be unique and socially orientated as well as a chaotic and unpredictable magic system that can lead to disastrous and hilarious consequences. The system encourages the creative use of skills in both combat and social encounters turning problems into a combination between a puzzle and a poem. Don't be afraid by the verboseness of some of the descriptions. They're just trying to get you to look up words so you can pick which of the definitions you think applies to the moment, thus making the world more of your creation based on your interpretation. System alterations: I will alter parts about the system to make it slightly less deadly. that includes using optional rules that they present in  the rulebook and some of that includes child proofing some of the crazier rules. Though keep in mind Death is a very normal thing in the game that is expected to happen and in fact encouraged because there isn't too much upward mobility for the backgrounds and it's actively fun to make a new character. Speaking of backgrounds, I will encourage you to randomly roll one but I may allow you to re-roll multiple times if you hate the one you get it first. I'd be thrilled if anyone would want to make their own background. There are explicit rules in the game for making them and as long as you don't make anything broken I'll probably will accept it if it's interesting. In fact they explicitly tell you not to worry about balancing because as long as every background feels fun to play, you'll be right. [you don't really have to read all that.] Game details Player Age: 18 ~~ Platforms: Discord (Voice call, dice rolling and content sharing), Google Docs, Online character sheets, Theatre of the Mind. Players: 3-5 Schedule: Weekly Sunday 7pm to 10pm latest 11pm  [Relatively long form] Genre: Blurs the lines between sci-fi and fantasy And then chops it all up with a knife until it looks like a Picasso painting. Very absurdist. Contains multitudes. Tone: it will likely be light-hearted, it could be deep and emotional. It all depends on what we bring into it.  It will undoubtedly be weird. So weird that because it doesn't stop being weird, and our minds are creative in a way that makes sense of weird things, it won't seem like that all the time. A tonal reference would be Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Crossed with The Little Prince, Dr. Seuss, Adventure time, Monty Python and the quest for the Holy Grail, Stephen universe, And I guess the Lord of the rings…. But as in the Ralph Bakshi adaptation….and most of all very specifically the Ralph Bakshi movie “Wizards”.  What I bring: Editable character sheets online. Plus the Troika rulebook PDF and a bunch of pamphlet modules for the future. Everything I have though is available online. You don't have to join to get it. So you can look at it ahead of time. I would encourage reading the rules. About me: I live in Sydney Australia. I love all different types of TTRPGs, and have been listening to TTRPG podcasts since I was 11. Understandably, because of this it's what I want to do Forever. My favourites our Worlds Beyond Number, Knight's Quest and Dungeons and Daddies, and recently Critical Role c4. Though I know my time zone isn't the best for other countries they are still more than welcome to join. My games are a safe space for all types of people.  Especially people with ADHD, dyslexia or dyspraxia, Indigenous people, and members in or adjacent to the LGBTQIA+ Community. :) Absolutely no bigotry in any form. There are no second chances for harassment. Safety measures: we will use lines and vails at the session zero. you also can private message to me if you wanna walk out at any time. The game focuses on a roleplay-heavy balance, with a healthy amount of combat. A new DM would have full creative freedom, as no major plot threads or notes were left behind by the previous DM. Setting overview: The Endless Universe takes place in a galaxy shaped by the fall of the Endless, an ancient civilization destroyed by the Dust Wars. Central to the setting is Dust, a powerful and dangerous substance that can transform rare survivors into Heroes. These Heroes are trained and deployed by the Academy, a neutral organization that influences galactic politics from the shadows. Current status: New recruits (the party) just finished their first mission capturing pirates and were about to start their training montage. Hello! My name is Evelyn! I am 35 and a new GM looking to run a Witherwild Campaign! I have DMd a few DnD one-shots, and a short DnD Adventure. I have been played in several DnD campaigns and one Vampire The Masquerade camapaign, as well as a Daggerheart one-shot! Overall, I have been playing for just over two years, both in-person and online. I am the type of DM who likes to follow the rules as written the majority of the time, but I will bend or overlook some things if the narrative result would be improved by doing so! To me, the story comes first. I will also forgo looking up rules to preserve the flow of the game, choosing instead to clarify the rule after the session for future reference, unless the outcome would be impactful to the story. I am looking for players who are willing and excited to build a story together. Daggerheart, at its core, is a collaborative story-telling tool and I would like to dive into that as much as possible, working together to tell the best story we can! Anyone in NW Atlanta, Georgia looking for an in person game? We have a group of six players I’m GMing that are halfway through book 3 of Mummy’s Mask AP. we can add one player to this game if Wednesday evenings works better. We play every other Wednesday night from 7-11 pm. We have an Obsidian Portal website set up for this campaign to track all aspects of the campaign (xps, treasure, adventure journal, etc…) and allow for PCs to communicate in character using the message boards there. I have a second group of seven players I’m GMing that are halfway through book 3 of Rise of the Runelords AP. That group is also currently full. We play every other Friday from 7-11 pm. likewise with the obsidian Portal website for campaign website. I have three more players that would like to play in a campaign, but don’t want to Split them up and increase either of the first two games at 8 players, so I am currently recruiting 2-4 more players for a third, bi-weekly game. This third one will run every other week on Fridays from 7-11 pm at our house in Hiram. A new Obsidian Portal website for this campaign has been set up. Thirty years ago, the second Death Star was destroyed, giving way for the formation of the New Republic. Duro, a world surrounded by orbital shipyards and ruled by corporate interests, now sits in the middle of the cold war between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. You are sent to provide support to an ambassador who seeks to find a peaceful resolution to the occupation. The chances of success are slim, but your characters soon find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy involving the formation of a new Dark Side religion. Are you a Jedi, bright eyed and ready to take on the world? A scoundrel, ready for an easy paycheck only to be forced into the role of a hero? Are you a droid, capable of feats of excellence beyond organic capabilities? The galaxy is full of possibilities for you to make your mark on the world! This game is meant to be an introduction to Star Wars Saga edition (with a few house rules to help an older system feel more modern). No prior experience with the system is necessary, though a love of Star Wars is appreciated. This takes place in a modified Legends Continuity to allow for players to be members of the New Republic and Luke’s new Jedi Order. Important Star Wars events and canon characters will NOT be the focus. This is a game about adventure, character growth, and story opportunities, not lore and living in someone else’s shadow. Players will begin play at level 1, but quickly level past that. The main reason for such a low level start is to help players learn the system. Saga Edition resembles D&D 3rd edition in many ways, with updates to make it more functional. PCs are not likely to be equally capable in combat, but the system’s focus is less focused on war gamey aspects than D&D and Pathfinder. A character who thrives in diplomacy and skill will find themselves an invaluable member of the party as healing is slow, difficult, and costly. Saga edition is also perhaps the most multiclass friendly d20 type system, with house rules to make it even more so. There is a lot of information, but as patient Game Master (Or Star Master HAH) I am willing to spend time to individually help PCs build their characters. What I require from you is a passion for the game, a desire to make characters that are fun to run FOR and to roleplay with your fellow players, and a willingness to fit the setting and vibe. This is not a game for fully evil characters or sith (this game is PERFECT for former darksiders however!) Here, farmers toil seven days a week only to see their crops ruined by witches who roam the land, breaking down every fresh fruit and vegetable. You have yet to unlock the magic within you  powers that will shape your destiny and challenge this dark force. But your journey begins here, and the first choice is yours: will you rise to defend Nabu Dabi, or watch its fields fall to ruin? This is only the beginning; your story flows onward, and greater challenges await beyond these borders. What to Expect Moving Forward ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Free Fun Adventure that is not paid at all. Only your creativity is needed. The game won't be played everyday, Wednesdays & Mondays between the hours of 12 AM through 7 PM Eastern Standard Time, EST-5 works best. A bit about what we're hoping for: We're after friendly, chill players who know the basics of D&D and are cool with speaking up if anything comes up—so we can sort it out fast and keep the game fun for everybody. Here's a quick rundown on the folks already interested: Stagnant (EST) Looking for a D&D 3.5 game that's roughly 50/50 roleplay and combat, with a big emphasis on exploration and adventure. Mostly free on Saturdays, but can do Fridays or some weekdays (just not Thursdays). Super reliable—only misses if life throws something unavoidable at them. New to 3.5 specifically but knows the fundamentals and is pumped to learn. Happy playing with both newbies and vets. Likes flexible rulings over super strict RAW. Thinking of starting with a straightforward Fighter. Totally fine with voice chat and online tools. Prefers 3–4 hour sessions but is open to going longer if we take breaks every couple hours. Jourton (PST) Searching for a long-term D&D 3.5e campaign. Available 6 PM+ on or near weekends (especially Saturdays) and 9 AM–4 PM on weekdays. Solid commitment—shows up unless something unavoidable pops up. Experienced with 3.5e and good with most players as long as they're not disruptive. Prefers sticking close to the books but is open to some reasonable flexibility. Really into gestalt multiclassing for richer stories and better combat options. (Quick note: if you're reading this carefully, slip the word "subtlefruit" into question 9 when I send the questionnaire.) Has 16 different characters ready to go for variety. What's the story and world that YOU want play? Hi, I'm an easy going GM with background in DMing DnD, Fate, Custom and Home-brew systems. I love creative and narrative freedom from both the players and the GM to build the most epic, but more importantly, fun story we all want to tell. We can and will explore anything from classic Medieval High Fantasy to Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Gunfighting settings. I have some preferred stories and written campaigns, but I believe I do my best work when players have suggestions and ideas for the type of world that they want to play in. To live in. If you want to play a Bureaucratic Battle Mage who uses paperwork to cast spells and bog their enemies, a Gun slinging 7 eyed giant with tiny hands, a talking piano that can only be moved by other party members pushing them, then you've found your GM. All that to say, if thees a character you want to play, we can make it happen. My disclaimer is that this does put a lot of trust in your GM (me) to keep things balanced and fun without a fully fleshed out system such as 5e to keep players and actions in check. I'm biased when I say this, but I think I do a good job. There is no cost of playing in my group/game! Discord would be the prefered method of communication. If everyone already owns a copy we could use Table Top Sim on Steam or a free web based option like Roll20. Not picky. Says weekly but am open to less frequently. Whatever works for the group! And the longer you wait, the more you miss out on! --------- The Setting: - The Western Frontier is a West Marches style of D&D! - We are largely based in Australia/NZ, and as such we play at times convenient for us! - We have somewhere between 13-16 active players, most have two currently active PC's! - Our experience with this style of D&D and with D&D as a whole varies! - Session scheduling and game direction is driven largely by players! This is an open world sandbox style of game! Game Info: - We use variant rules long/short resting. Short rests are now 8 hours (overnight), long rests take a week of downtime back in The Town, or another fortified position. About the campaign This scenario is one of the longest in TTRPGs. The story is about travelling the world and investigating a larger conspiracy on a global scale. TLDR about the campaign: Plot: You all once knew one some how in some way the five "Greatest" Captains of the Soup on a personal level but when they  all  were defeated by a single Imperial Health Inspector who cited their ships for "excessive barnacles" and "unauthorized use of seasoning." the ships were impounded, and their crews left to join the more stable "community service." With the exception of you five who all have relations to the captains. While drowning your sorrows in a tavern made of a hollowed-chicken, a senile hermit known as The Michelin Man approaches you. He reveals a prophecy: "When the Scions of five fallen forks unite, they shall find the Golden Ladle and stir the world back to flavor." Custom world Setting: The Soup of Creation The world is not an ocean but a literal infinite Giant Bowl of Cosmic Ramen. The Broth: The "sea" is a lukewarm, savory liquid filled with floating oversized vegetables (islands) and massive noodles (trade routes). Magic here is called “spice” or “flavor.” and casters are called chefs and highly regarded as one of the keystones of the soup. The “Spice” lords: The overseeing government of the soup who seek control of the spice of the soup and all who channel its power.

I am running a FFd20 (Based on Pathfinder with a few homebrew rules to make it more 3.5 like) Campaign. The campaign setting is essentially a fusion world of the worlds of FF 10, 9, 7, 6 and FF Tactics Advanced (uses the canon map as opposed to a custom layout). The game takes place in a tweaked version of the game worlds where an outsider being has overtuned the power of and over informed the villains of the MCs actions/locations. This results in the majority of the cast of those games dying. 20 years later, the survivors of those games have unified into a resistance group known as The Farthest Sun (Led by FFX characters as Spira's sun is the furthest from the planet). As a newly trained member of this group you are heading to your graduation when your fellow players meet up in the previously discussed location and something strange occurs. I'm allowing NEARLY any class from the FFD20 website, but some may be race locked or unavailable if they do not fit the setting of the 5 games that this campaign is based around.. I do have an option to allow races/classes from FF14 if one of those interest you... I am seeking 2 player, but I would be open to 3 should heavy interest be shown. You grew up playing on the docks, getting lost in the nearby woods, and hearing the fantastical stories of travelers from faraway lands, tales of terrifying dragons and virtuous knights. Such adventure always seemed so distant- until today. Word has begun to spread around Otari that there's a problem down at the Otari Fishery. Some are saying that some sort of beast is lurking in the basement, feeding on the stores of salted fish. Folks are worried that whatever is eating the fish might get hungry enough to eat the fishers next! You've received a letter from Tamily Tanderveil, the owner of the Fishery. Inside is a desperate plea for help. With the town guard busy protecting the loggers, she needs a few brave souls to venture down into the basement of her warehouse and put an end to the beast that's feasting on her fish! Do you have the courage to face the menace under Otari? A short 2-4 session game of the Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box where you will be introduced to the basic mechanics of Pathfinder 2e. I have run the Box multiple times and am open to help any players learn the system. We will be playing over Discord for Voice and on Foundry for the maps and tokens. Foundry is free for players and has great automatisation for Pathfinder2e. Specific day can be negotiated with the players, but we would usually start playing at around at 7/8pm UTC+1. I accept new players to teach the system and experienced players that just want to play something small and simple, no matter from where on earth as long as you can make it to the session.

I've been getting a small group of players together In order to try a ttrpg system I've been working on, it's completely playable and I have a rules doc if you would like. The game itself will be classic small town horror think carie meets shadow over innsmouth. Players will be traversing between two different words, one a small town by the name of rought where nothing is truly hidden and everything is kept secret.  The other a strange sprawling city drenched in a permanent night and half sunken below the sands. As previous mentioned this is a homebrew system so you don't need to have played a lot of dnd before, but some knowledge of how a typical ttrpg functions would be necessary. Will be almost entirely rp focused as you are playing regular everyday people who have never truly interacted with the supernatural.
