Eye of the Dunes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
LGBTQ+ Friendly! Welcome everyone! My name is Love. Me and my friend Catie are looking to start up a mini-campaign, we've found 2 lovely people, so we're on the hunt for 2 more players to join us! If this post is still up we're still looking for good folks :) I've introduced a lot of people to the game so I think I'm in a good posi-sh to help anybody learn, my patience is boundless I promise. Eye of the Dunes: A rumor glides on the wind throughout Faerun, from the high courts to the damp alleyways. Kings and orphans alike whisper of the Eye of the Dunes, a wondrous mote of magic said to be able to grant its claimant any wish they desire. It lies sleeping somewhere deep, deep in the deserts of Calimshan, untouched under centuries of blowing winds, for we would surely know if someone had found it. You have banded together with a few other adventurers to brave the sands, an uneasy alliance at best, as in the end only one of you can wield the Eye. There's a lead in the capital city of Calimport, a café owner claims to know something the general populace doesn't, so you've set sail on an overcrowded galleon. You are not the first to try, but perhaps you will be the last.     We play on Foundry (veeery fancy) in a discord call     The campaign is set at a higher level, 8-10, and will last 3-5 session     We'd prefer players around our own age (20 - 34)     We love messing around and making jokes, but we do try to actually tell a story and often roleplay seriously with emotion. I try to be descriptive!     I am from Sweden and my friend is Australian (though a real night-owl), so we can't really play after 19:00 GMT+2     I won't tolerate NASTY behavior, you know, let's have a Good Time, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepson-style     No AI, come on, what are we doing here? About you: Please send us a message telling us about yourself! Stuff like where you're from, what kind of person you'd describe yourself as, your hobbies and so on. To make sure we don't invite EVIL people we need to know who you are, so share as much as you feel comfortable with. Trust me we'll read every word! We'd love to stay in touch and play games once the campaign is done, but no pressure! Thank you for reading, hope to hear from you :) (P.S: happy to share stuff about ourselves too if you have questions!)

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

“Under a sky streaked gold with morning light, the little town of Phandalin bustles with the everyday magic of a frontier settlement. Merchants haggle over goods, children chase chickens through the square, and old miners swap tall tales at the tavern. But beneath this peaceful surface, something ancient stirs. This is Phandalin. This is Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. And you are about to become the heroes this town didn't know it needed.” 🎲 Level Range: 1–12 🖥️ Platforms: Foundry VTT, Discord (Voice), and Start Playing Games (Scheduling & Payments) ⏰ Session Length: 3.5–4.5 hours, every Tuesday at 9:00 AM EST (1:00 PM GMT) 💰 Price: $24,95 per session 🆓 Session Zero: Completely free! The campaign is fully supported through Foundry VTT, featuring automation, dynamic maps, immersive audio, visual effects, and streamlined character management to keep the focus on roleplay, exploration, and adventure. Welcome to a campaign that embraces classic high-fantasy adventure, full of wonder, camaraderie, and the thrill of discovery. Above all, this table is a safe and welcoming space for every kind of player. Whatever your background, whoever you are, you can set your worries aside and step into a journey full of fantasy and mystery alongside friends old and new. This adventure is also especially crafted for beginners, those who don't yet know much about the world of Dungeons & Dragons or the system that ties it all together. I'll be right there to guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never rolled a d20 in your life or you're a returning adventurer, Phandalin has a place for you at its table. 🏳️‍🌈 Safe and Welcoming Space This table is built on respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience with tabletop RPGs. Whether you're rolling your very first d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll find a friendly group ready to share an unforgettable story together. The goal is simple: make sure every player feels comfortable, heard, and excited to take part in the adventure. 🗡️ A Classic Call to Adventure Step into one of Dungeons & Dragons' most beloved adventures and discover why Phandalin has become such an iconic destination. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unfolds into a tale of forgotten legends, ambitious villains, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries. Along the way, you'll meet memorable allies and dangerous foes while exploring a vibrant corner of the Forgotten Realms filled with history, intrigue, and opportunity. ⛰️ Exploration and Discovery Adventure lies beyond every winding trail and weathered doorway. Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining? Long-term, ongoing, high fantasy campaign. Long-term as in many years. 4 players and a DM(me) can seat up to two more.  Tons of lore in a campaign world that I have been running games in for almost 40 years.  ALL folks, 18+, welcome as we are three guys and two gals that range widely in age, from 53(me) to 18. We are very casual with roughly 30% RP, 30% combat, 20% exploration, and 20% BS, and chatting. Poker night atmosphere. We play weekly on Saturday from 8ish until 2am at my home in Belmont, East Dayton.

Hello. My name is Jeremiah, and I want to start a Pathfinder 2e group at the Chelsea District Library. I’m currently thinking of 1pm-5pm on the third or fourth Saturday of the month, starting next month (July). While I would prefer to be a player instead of a GM, I am willing to run the Beginner Box so we can test the system. It’s a bit of a crunchy system, but there are online resources that are free we can use to help manage things. Once we have enough people, we’ll figure out were we can all chat in one place (I’m thinking a Discord server, but I’m open to other options). Update: The date for the session will be July 18th, in a second floor studyroom from 10:30 to 2:30.

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

Paid game Paid game
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
*** PLEASE BE ADVISED - THIS IS A PAID GAME $20 PER PLAYER PER SESSION *** Eternal winter has claimed the far reaches of the North. The sun barely rises over the frozen tundra of Icewind Dale, and when it does, it offers little warmth—only pale light across endless snow, howling winds, and isolated settlements struggling to survive. In this land of creaking glaciers and half-forgotten gods, something ancient stirs beneath the ice. "Rime of the Frostmaiden" is a dark fantasy campaign of survival, mystery, and creeping cosmic horror, where hope is scarce, trust is fragile, and every choice echoes in the cold. This game is for players who enjoy rich roleplay, moral ambiguity, and character-driven storytelling alongside tense exploration and tactical combat. You’ll create heroes shaped by hardship—outcasts, wanderers, survivors, and seekers—each with secrets of their own. Your backstory will matter. Your bonds will matter. The frozen wastes will test not just your strength, but your convictions, forcing you to decide what you’re willing to sacrifice to protect what little warmth remains in the world. My tables emphasize immersive storytelling, vivid descriptions, and meaningful player agency. The world reacts to your actions. NPCs remember your deeds. Victories feel earned, and failure carries weight. Expect a balanced mix of investigation, social intrigue, wilderness survival, and dangerous combat encounters, with space for character moments and emergent storytelling. I favor cinematic pacing and collaborative worldbuilding, where player ideas help shape the evolving narrative. Above all, this is a game about standing against the dark—not because victory is guaranteed, but because someone has to try. If you enjoy bleak settings, deep character arcs, and uncovering terrible truths buried beneath the snow, Icewind Dale awaits. Bring a torch, trust your companions, and prepare to face the endless night. I use DIscord for VC and Roll20 for VTT where I have a huge library of content to choose from, both 2024 and 2014 5e Please have 3 character concepts for consideration. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmlmsnjyt00n1l204tiqdpnis?ref=clnhpvkl2000klc08cu4sad0a

Hey Everyone!  Me and my group are currently looking for a Dm and Players to join our discord server for a long standing Campaign if possible! We are newer to D&D so we hope to find people that don't mind joining us! We want to create a community of 10+ people to run multiple campaigns later on, as of right now there are 3 members in our discord server so we hope to create a fun and engaging community where everyone can interact and have fun together! We are against paid sessions and believe everyone should be welcomed to join and just have fun in the community  Ideally we'd like to have 1 session a week and we can work out those details later but if we need to run 1 session every other week that's also ok!  For Possible DM  We are mostly beginners so we ask for beginner friendly DMs and someone that wants to have fun and be apart of the community we grow together! We also want to run multiple campaigns! But we don't expect you to just be the DM if you also want to get in on the fun in future campaigns we want to run! My current group is newer so if that's ok with you we'd love to chat with you and work out details! For possible players We are a new community in discord so we want to make it a positive experience for everyone and have a much fun as possible! Backgrounds or other personal details don't really matter to us we want to be a open community and have a safe space for everyone to engage and just escape day to day grind life gives us and roll that NAT 20 to seduce the dragon (if that's what you're into 😂) but we also hope to just add more people and grow as a community and build relationships that will last a life time!  So if this is something you're interested in send me a message here or on Discord and I'd love to chat with you! The galaxy is changing… and not for the better. The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived from beyond the known galaxy, bringing living ships, terrifying biotechnology, and a hatred of machines that has already left entire worlds in ruin. The New Republic is struggling to respond, the Jedi are stretched thin, and the hyperspace lanes are filled with refugees, rumors, and fear. In the middle of this chaos, you are part of a small crew trying to survive and make a difference. Maybe you’re Jedi trying to understand this strange new enemy. Maybe you’re soldiers fighting a desperate delaying action. Smugglers, scouts, diplomats, and survivors all have a place in a galaxy where the rules of war are rapidly changing. This campaign will focus heavily on roleplay, character choices, and the personal stories that unfold during a massive galactic war. Expect tense negotiations, dangerous missions behind enemy lines, moral dilemmas, and moments where your characters must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice to protect the galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong are coming. Who will your character be when the galaxy needs heroes… or survivors? Looking for GM and Players.  Saturdays 10:00 AM GMT Does this day and time work for you, and can you reliably make the sessions? How old are you and how much RPG experience do you have? Do both you and your character work well in a team? Are you familiar with Saga Edition and do you have a copy of it? What is your character concept?

The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! Welcome to Spirit School (DnD like game)

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
(Warning this is a dnd like not dnd) you live in a small town in the country-side. You get "recruited" to a private school you never heard of, your parents agree to send you there sense it's free because of a "scholarship" you definitely deserve. The day before your first day at that school you start seeing a dark figure. Yes this is a spirit summoning game where you battle with different spirits coming from different places. (inspired by persona and Shamman king) Your Character gets a partner Spirit that can be of 3 main spirit types: Shines: spirits made by postive emotions. maybe your character really likes jokes so their spirit is a clown. Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Game Edition: 5.5e, 5e, and homebrew Experience: None required Session Time: Sundays PST, 1:00-5:00 PM Requirements: Discord, Google Docs, mic, device System: Modified point buy, fixed HP, metric-based leveling (Custom), no multiclassing, homebrew allowed Themes: High fantasy, low fantasy, some dark themes, some sci-fi, some political intrigue, some modern themes This is a long-term campaign with heavy homebrew. The storyline may extend upwards to 7 years over 3-4 campaigns. There is also a spot for a co-DM if any of you are interested. Lucid Adventure is a world-renowned VMMORPG accessed entirely through a person's dreams, known for its unparalleled realism and absolute freedom. As a limitless sandbox game, it functions as a literal second world for its users. The game was created by Giga, the country's most powerful corporation. While the general public initially dismissed it as a mere simulation, players are shocked by the game's realism upon first logging on. The game changed more than just how people played games; top-ranking players were treated as global celebrities, and real-world economic opportunities increasingly depended on a person's in-game capabilities. Furthermore, Lucid Adventure offered employment to injured or disabled individuals, enabling them to regain their physical mobility. Professor Altria Pendragon wrote a paper about Lucid Adventure called “The Fulfillment of Dreams,” in which she famously wrote: "This game is a new wave. For lack of a better word, it is an evolution and revolution of a new mankind." System: 7th Sea 2nd edition Number of sessions: 6-8 Fees: 65 NIS per session (around 20-22) dollars or 500 NIS for the whole thing. (Around 120-160$, depending on amount of sessions). Paid via PayPal at the start of every month or the end of the whole game. Time: time to be determined but probably Tuesdays, Mondays or Thursdays weekly evening GMT+3. Hello everyone! I'm Ellie, professional GM running 7th Sea 2nd edition. This time I'll be running an anthology-style game - short self contained stories with different characters in different places in the game world, with each story spanning 6-8 sessions.  7th sea is a system about Heroes fighting in a magical world based on ours in the 17th century, solving problems, preventing (or starting!) conflicts and helping others. If you don't know the system, I will help out and teach and provide everything you need. The game fees will be 65 NIS per session (about 20-22 dollars), paid either at the end of the month or at the start/end of the story as a whole "ticket" (So around 120-160$ for the whole thing) via PayPal. The sessions will be 2.5 hours long, very RP intense, introductory and expository, and I promise to help you create amazing characters you'll fall in love with (come on, is there not a better feeling than being obsessed with your own PC?) If you want to hear more about me, just let me know and we can schedule a talk via discord: Shyercaulfield  Cheers and feel free to contact anytime

Monday – Saturday, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

Your stomach churns as a marsh materializes around you, the air hot and sticky. Swarms of mosquitoes and the occasional croak of amphibians fill the air, welcoming your arrival in this inhospitable place. Fog flits and dances amongst the gnarled branches and twisting vines, and shimmering lights of torchbugs, or perhaps fey, wink and blink at you from the shadows. Muddy, shallow water lines the place, and a foot plunging into the loamy ground is sure to sink into the muck. ...and you're naked... ~~~~~~~ Simultaneous campaigns 2 groups of 4 players each. -Echo 1 - (1-20) - 3 of 4 - TBD -Echo 2 - (1-20) - 2 of 4 - TBD No meeting of the groups. -Echo 3 - 2 players only - (1-30) - Open - TBD (Extreme Challenge; Reaper Difficulty) Do you think you can clear a campaign with only 2 players. I invite you to the challenge. Bring your best and face the test. I'll keep a spare potion of Cure Light Wounds waiting for you... ~~~~~~~ This campaign features more than 55 playable maps, 25+ Meta-Quests (major complex quest chains), more than 20 active Factions to negotiate with, true exploration of an unknown world, massive amounts of lore, collectibles runs, roleplaying, and for those who complete the campaign, immortalization in the world of Donjon. Online, 0e ODND, CST, Thursday-Saturday; What? Old-school 1974 D&D similar to Shadowdark, and Old School Essentials. Emphasis on open world player freedom. Party up and play when your schedule allows. Travel a hex grid. Meet, recruit, and barter with NPCs across the world. Carve out your name in infamy, fame, or obscurity.  How? Discord used for communication and record keeping. Miro used for visuals. Voice recorded, transcribed, and processed for notes to keep the world consistent. To enter the game contact via discord or Groupfinder DM if interested. Who is playing? Drop in/Drop out West Marches style. Play 1-on-1 with DM any time on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, or coordinate with others to schedule with other players in group effort. Player cooperation not required, you can adventure with NPCs for equal treasure share or hire them on other terms. Speak with players out or inside of game to meet in specific places. Enter the timeline in approved places. Having multiple characters in multiple locations in the game is advantageous as the world is vast and distance takes time to traverse. What are the rules? - Chainmail (some not all), The 3 brown booklets. - Knowing the rules isn't required to play because it's so simple - Character classes are: Magic-User, Fighting-Man, Cleric, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit Tips? - The DM will not remind players of quest options available to the players. - Notes and good memory are important. Knowledge is precious. - Hiring NPCs is a core mechanic - No set story. No narrative or character arcs. Story emerges from random results of the game, so play like no one is watching but the NPCs.

Step into the Forgotten Realms and explore the wilds of the Sword Coast in a campaign built around freedom, discovery, and player choice. This is a true "Super-Sandbox" adventure that seamlessly weaves together the stories of 'Phandelver and Below' and 'Dragon of Icespire Peak' into one massive, living world. The game focuses on smart problem-solving, teamwork, and character-driven storytelling. In this version of the Sword Coast, combat carries cinematic weight; we utilize Lingering Injuries and Exhaustion mechanics to ensure that every victory feels hard-earned and every battle leaves a mark on your character's legend. Whether you are navigating the political factions of Phandalin or surviving the harsh mountain peaks, your choices shape the world naturally over time. This campaign is designed to be welcoming to newer players while still offering the mechanical depth and challenge that veterans crave. Rules are taught as needed through play, and your character’s backstory will be deeply woven into the mystery of the Shattered Obelisk and the threat of the dragon Cryovain. Gather your gear, trust your companions, and answer the call of adventure. The Sword Coast is dangerous, mysterious, and full of opportunity. How far your story goes is up to you! Game Details: Session length: 3 hours, with possible extension up to 30 minutes. Gametime: Tuesdays - 19:00 PM GMT+2 Platforms: Roll20, Discord, DnDBeyond Players: Open to adults of all experience levels Pricing: 20 USD per session via Startplaying.games Your first session will be FREE What you are paying for: - The work I put into my campaigns. I invest in additional maps, resources, and adapt the story when needed to ensure a memorable experience. - Dedicated players with a certain level of maturity. A paid table helps avoid no shows and builds a committed group that aims to complete the campaign. - Full access to DnDBeyond content. - High quality maps from talented Patreon creators such as DM Andy, Czepeku, Mad Cartographer and more. Osu! I'm Loke! I'm an amateur desginer and TTRPG aficionado trying to develop a Battle Manga TTRPG based on Dragon Ball, with plans to expand on the future. I'm in need of people to help me bounce ideas and playtest them! All levels of experience are welcomed! Game Features: - Dice Pool & Success ("Hit") Based [1d6 => 4 = 1 Hit] - Trait System. They establish facts and modify rolls by adding or subtracting Hits - Dynamic Action Resolution. Action resolution is divided into 4 Phases or Acts, simulating the Ki-Sho-Ten-Ketsu storytelling frame of asian literature and the paneling of a manga page - Adventure, Battle & Train. The game will be divided in three "play modes" to better simulate the different types of events and activities our heroes have to overcome in the manga, and how they progress and evolve as fighters. Im interested in finding 4-5 players, who would be interested in playing Aquelarre, which is a medieval demonic fantasy role-playing game.  Aquelarre is set in the Iberian Peninsula during the 13th and 14th centuries of the Middle Ages. Players take on the roles of normal humans who walk a fine line between living ordinary and legal lives of drudgery, or using forbidden magic to lift themselves out of squalor. For more information check out the wiki: information about the game I'm new to this game myself and as of yet there is no campaign. But for playtime I'm planning on creating a mini-campaign or just run 2-4 sessions of loosely tied adventures. Ideally sessions would take place on one fixed day during the workweek starting from 18:00 CET. The first session would be character creation as the game offers very unique backgrounds & professions and then also a mini-adventure to familiarise ourselves with the basic rules. If you are interested write to me here or on discord (mekaso).

Carrion Crown late game, then Iron Gods campaign

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Homebrew Homebrew
PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's few enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! Thought I should mention, no other GM I ever heard of even online has thought to link a campaign to time very consistently. Me, I break it down to years and months, and give the campaign a definite ending and thus a conclusion to the storyline (Vampire the Masquerade). I am THAT relentlessly thorough! Same goes for Pathfinder. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. We are gonna finish up the Carrion Crown campaign first (near the end of the last book in the campaign,15th level but with Iron Gods you can pick what you want for the most part, as only a few of the classes have been taken(unchained rogue, gunslinger, cleric, all 3 are female PCS but only one of them is run by a female player, just to show YOU the sex attribute modifiers are actually useful and the new player is thinking up a melee warrior of some kind). You get high attributes (25 point buy), and max starting gold normally, but you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear).  For example, since Carrion Crown has lots of undead, don't do anything that imposes mental conditions, you need really good saving throws. Iron Gods has much the same problem with robots, undead. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters, but played by players of either biological sex. Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves, Drow, Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Gunslingers, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result, since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are eventually gonna play Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome, one player made a brine changeling (all of them are female) example already. I won't run Rise of the Runelords since I just got done with that, ran the whole shebang.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. We have a Ranger (archer). There's already a Cleric, Bard, Paladin, as well. There's a Wizard. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role. Only 6 encounters left for Carrion Crown. These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very culture centric, but there are rare outside examples), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

The Crooked Moon

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Horror Horror
"When the moon hangs crooked in the sky, bolt your doors, bank your fires, and never answer a knock after sunset..." The old stories were never just stories. Beyond the safety of the village lanterns lies a cursed wilderness where ancient forests whisper forgotten names, scarecrows watch from empty fields, and every shadow may hide a hungry monster. Witches weave bargains that cost more than gold, werewolves stalk moonlit roads, haunted spirits seek vengeance, and creatures from folklore wait patiently for travelers foolish enough to wander off the path. You are ordinary people—or perhaps something stranger—drawn together by fate, fear, or desperation. As the Crooked Moon rises, you'll uncover terrifying mysteries, face impossible choices, and decide whether you'll become the heroes the villages desperately need... or another cautionary tale told around the fire. This campaign is inspired by dark fairy tales, gothic horror, and European folklore. Expect eerie exploration, unsettling mysteries, dangerous monsters, moral dilemmas, memorable roleplay, and brutal combat where every victory comes at a cost. Your choices will shape the fate of the land, but remember: not every monster has fangs, and not every smiling face can be trusted. Can you survive beneath the Crooked Moon... or will your story become the next legend whispered in the dark?

Greetings Travelers and welcome to “Thar’ Be Trolls!” A Dungeon World campaign set in the Forgotten Realms universe. Set in the city of Nesme’ and bordered by the Lurkwoods to the northwest and the Evermoors to the east, the party will assume the role of a member of the Riders of Nesme’. Captain Hersien has a mission of utmost importance. A dangerous mission, one that would stake upon the fate of the city. I am a budding 5e DM and want to try out Dungeon World. I have two players already, one who is very experienced in the format and one who isn't. We are looking for a couple more diverse, fun, and colorful people to broaden our group. The three of us are in our 30s and would like to keep the campaign 18+. We will run it every two weeks on Sunday at 1pm. Ideal start date would be August 9th. Please feel free to ask any questions or reach out. I am trying to run this on a program on steam called Talespire that allows players to move figures around a 3d world that I have created. It is a free program for the players, and you can purchase a figure on Heroforge or use one of thousands created by players (through heroforge or uploaded to Talespire). I am not dead set on this but it has been a fun way to explore the 5e campaigns I've run.

"You arise from the ashes that were once your body, to be greeted by the crimson hue of the sky..." Hello! I am a somewhat experienced GM looking for players for a one-shot (with the potential to turn into a full campaign if the group clicks). It is based on my own universe and magic system, running on the Fate Core ruleset. This game is highly narrative-driven in a meta-sense. You will play as literal "Drafts" traveling through the Wastelands—an ever-shifting dimension where unfinished stories and concepts are sent after being discarded by God. In the Wastelands, you can expect to find grand mechanical structures reminiscent of games like Rain World, while at the same time stumbling across Edo-period villages or fields of vibrant blue grass. Some comparative titles and themes to help you get a feel for the vibe are: Fear & Hunger • Dark Souls • Ultrakill • Jujutsu Kaisen • Serial Experiments Lain • Gnosticism • Divine Machinery Aesthetics You will start by choosing an Emanation (beings we commonly call Gods, though they are more like embodiments of concepts) from a list. You must choose solely based on their name, not what they represent. You will discover their true nature later. You will write an unfinished story of up to 500 words based on the Emanation you chose. That story will be the essence of your character. Your Draft may be the main character of that story, someone tormented by its themes, a human, a non-human, whatever your imagination wants. Each Draft has a "Pure Essence." If I had to draw a parallel, it functions similarly to a Cursed Technique in JJK. It is the innate, signature ability of your Draft. In-game it will work as a Stunt. I heavily prioritize narrative and character development over combat. There will frequently be options to enter combat, but it won't be necessary most of the time. This will be a game focused on roleplay and sandbox exploration, featuring a main quest-giver and several secondary quests that the group may choose to ignore or partake in. Note: Some of the themes included in the game may be sensitive. We will have a thorough safety and boundaries discussion before playing to ensure everyone is comfortable. If all of this interests you, please send a message on here. We will use Discord to call and Owlbear if I decide to use maps but it will likely be a Theater of the Mind game. Schedule: 11 am Sunday

A ragtag band of locals find themselves embroiled in a strange adventure involving an unhinged warforged, a psychotic docent, and a plot seemingly involving a nefarious branch of House Cannith. One of those you've been roped in with attached the docent to himself and now hears voices, but has started displaying extra abilities. Your mentor, the unhinged warforged named Trace 7, has disappeared, but she left you with a mission to find a way into a secret facility in the underbelly of Sharn to discover the secrets of this organization. Can you find your way in and discover what House Cannith is up to? This game uses the Pathfinder for Savage Worlds Ruleset and Kristian Serrano's Eberron for Savage Worlds adaptation hosted on the Fantasy Grounds VTT, which is now free to play. All resources will be supplied upon acceptance. This is an ongoing campaign with five players currently. I'll accept up to one more. We play on the last Sunday of the month at 18:00 Eastern Time (Currently UTC-4).

I am in desperate need of a dm/gm, and preferably if they're around the age range 14-19 because I find I am not eager to have a dm that's in their 20s (I am between the age range of 15-17 myself). Anyone in the range I listed is 100% allowed to join, anyone above or below said range will be met with skepticism, though welcomed in either way.

Welcome to The Western Frontier, adventurer! You've joined the best of the best here at SINC, CA! Saints of Interplanar Navigational Charters, Chalmers Acolytes. I'll be your Operations Overseer, Mr. Sullivan. We're on the fringe of the Imperium's reach here in Port Chalmers, so while you may be wanted or otherwise watched back home, here I don't care what your crimes were - Only that you do the job you've signed up for. And that job is to explore, document, make connections with the locals, and get into places you probably shouldn't be! Danger? Adventure? Relics, artifacts and ruins?? Strange beasts and plants?? Oh, it's out there, adventurer.. And the longer you wait, the more you miss out on! --------- The Setting: - The Western Frontier is a West Marches style of D&D! - We are largely based in Australia/NZ, and as such we play at times convenient for us! - We have somewhere between 13-16 active players, most have two currently active PC's! - Our experience with this style of D&D and with D&D as a whole varies! - Session scheduling and game direction is driven largely by players! This is an open world sandbox style of game! Game Info: - We use variant rules long/short resting. Short rests are now 8 hours (overnight), long rests take a week of downtime back in The Town, or another fortified position. (Settlements, Inns, camps - places with structures for you to sleep in and an armed guard/watch). - Resources matter! Spell components, ammo, carry weight, and rations are all tracked! Character Creation: - No twilight cleric and no variant humans. All PC's begin with a free feat and a non-combat uncommon item. - We use Discord for voice/text chat, Owlbear Rodeo for battle maps, & D&D Beyond/google sheets for character sheets. - Homebrew must be approved by a GM. Players: - 18+ people only! Firm on this, sorry gang! We range in age from about 19 to the late thirties! - LGBT+ folk expressly welcome! - No bigots, -ias or -isms, thank you! - All experience levels welcome, we're learning to run and play this style of game too, so we don't mind teaching you on the way! - Interested? Might be the game for you? Get in touch! Message me with: - A little about you! *Age, exp with d&d, timezone and typical times/days you'd play at/during (scheduling reasons) - A rough character idea! - Things you think you'd be interested in doing as a player! - Your discord username! - Times and days that'd work for you for a quick call so that we can vibe check each other!

Unknown Portland

The World of the Occult Underground awaits you - All you need is an idea for a person trying to navigate life in a city full of secrets, and who wants to change the world. -------------------------- Portland, Maine, is an old city with its eye on the future. It's a city of lighthouses, fishing boats, old brick streets, and hidden corners. Tourists see a charming coastal town. As someone who lives there, you see a little deeper. Beneath the restaurants, breweries, and waterfront shops lies another Portland—a city built from obsessions, impossible coincidences, dangerous secrets, and people willing to sacrifice everything for what they believe in, not just politically but metaphysically. Unknown Portland is a modern supernatural horror campaign using the Unknown Armies 3e TTRPG system. This is a game about putting your mark on the world, but not primarily about fighting monsters, unless injustice, TikTok, or something else you find intolerable about the world counts as a 'monster'. It's a game about discovery, obsession, and making a difference in a world filled with people who are determined to see it remain the same—or who seek to twist it to their own ends. The way forward is rarely clear, and it will be up to you to decide who you agree with, who you oppose, and what kind of future you're willing to fight for. One thing is certain: meaningful change always comes at a cost. What that cost is, and whether you're willing to pay it, are up to you... If you have the courage to step into the ring and make your voice heard. -------------------------- If You Join the Game, You Will Find: Character-Driven Stories Your relationships matter. Friends, lovers, family, rivals, and mentors are not background details—they are the heart of the story. Every connection can become a source of strength, heartbreak, inspiration, or danger. Found Family The people who stand beside you may become more important than the people who raised you. In a city full of secrets, trust is rare and precious. Meaningful Choices There are no perfect solutions. Every victory has consequences. Every sacrifice changes you. The decisions your character makes will leave lasting marks on the city and on the people around them, and even perhaps future games in the world. Mystery and Discovery The occult underground is hidden in plain sight. Every rumor may contain a fragment of truth. Every coincidence might be engineered. Every answer leads to deeper questions. Personal Horror The greatest threats are often the things people do to themselves. Ambition. Obsession. Love. Fear. The supernatural is terrifying, but human choices are what shape that horror. -------------------------- The game is run on Roll20 for tabletop and Discord for Audio/Video. It is streamed and recorded for posterity. Microphones are required, and cameras are encouraged. The game will deal with adult subject matter and may involve trauma. We maintain an open-door policy and are willing to discuss if certain topics hit too close to home. New players are welcome and preferred. We want to introduce you to the Occult Underground and prefer players who are unfamiliar but willing to learn and explore this world. The game is set in Portland, Maine, in 2022. All you need is an idea for a regular person who lives around Portland, Maine. Most PCs are in their mid-twenties, though older characters are certainly possible. -------------------------- This is a mature game focused on emotional storytelling, mystery, supernatural horror, and character development. Violence exists, but the story's focus is on people, relationships, choices, and consequences rather than combat. If you enjoy shows and stories like The Dresden Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Magicians, True Detective, The Sandman, or The Magnus Archives, you'll probably feel right at home.

I'm looking for one more player. I have four great players, but one of them doesn't always make it (not his fault), so I'd like one more to keep the group whole when he doesn't show. The game takes place on a recently discovered continent, and largely revolves around exploring it. There's three permanent settlements with fun things going on, stuff on the moon, devils, fure giants,  all sorts of fun. The group is 5th level, so you'll start at 5th level too. Anything from the official 3.5 releases is fine to use (except for Tome of Battle and Savage Species), and there's a few 3rd party books you can use too. The game is on Saturdays at 3pm EST, we use Discord and Owlbear Rodeo, and I have a form fillable PDF character sheet we're using. The idea is that you came to this new land to make a new life for yourself. Why is entirely up to you. I've purposefully left the "old world" as vague as possible so you can come up with pretty much any kind of character you want. All I ask is no royalty. My only real requirement is that you have a decent microphone, and if you have a lot of noise going on around you put yourself on push to talk. I'm kind of deaf and have a hard enough time hearing as it is. Just fill out this form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTnByZqYY4moS2756YCb8R1y6ldf1ucoMc9FlZ-k6uuWInvw/viewform?usp=header

Gathered close around the Sacred Pyre of Lothinayn, the Enduring who have found safety here have been going missing in the night. There are no signs before they leave, but once they're driven to walk beyond the safe glow they gain a mark on their forehead. Lothinayn is running out of Enduring, and soon it will lose its Pyre if the cause isn't taken care of. In this game, work as a group to survive the terrors of the Umbra to uncover the cause of the missing Enduring, prevent the continued loss of more, and hoepfully recover those who have been lost. --- Lothinayn exists south of the Amber Reach, along the coasts of the Ashen Seas. While the majority of Enduring in the Halcyon Domain need only contend with the beasts of the land turned monstrous atrocities, those here must also deal with the creatures of the cursed depths. Most days are met with waves of frigid mist that carry with it haunting whispers, others are met with a howling roar from far out in the Seas. The Enduring of Lothinayn, once proud fishermen for Amber Reach, still uphold that tradition. However, since the Apostasy the amount of fishermen brave enough has dwindled. A paranoid settlment, being so close to Amber Reach and the Ashen Seas, the Enduring here have purposely remained out of the affairs of other Pyre settlements. They often refuse visitors, traders, and messengers, only allowing the most urgent of requests in. It is a settlement with high, but thin walls, and breaches happen with irregular persistence. The elders of Lothinayn, the oldest barely over 50, uphold the security of their settlement with maybe a grip that's too hard. And now a new catastrophe is rearing it's head for the settlement. If the cause of Lothinayn's newest threat isn't eliminated, the consequences will be more than just food. Your party has been put together as a last hope for the people. Your goal: go north into the Umbra and find what is drawing your people from the safety of the Pyre, eliminate the threat, and return, hopefully with survivors in tow. ---|---|--- Hey, folks 👋🏻 My name is Braeden and, as you can see, I'm putting together an Age of Umbra game for Daggerheart on my DIscord server. I'm a long-time lover, player, and GM of many TTRPGs with experience going back to 8 years old. I play a more narritve-focused style, but I've also always loved video games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring, so a campaign like this feels like home. The table I'm running has four available seats, each of them are paid. Sessions will be on Mondays at 7:30 PM CST, running weekly for a Tier 1-Tier 3 game over 6-8 weeks. The standard rate for my tables is $20/session for a 4 hour session (so $5/hr), but we may go under and I do my best to not go overtime. If that does happen, your session rate is capped at $20. If you're interested, or have other questions, reach out to me here or on Discord. Let's play a fun game together!

LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Gimme a heads up the day before canceling a game, always be ready to play at least 75% of the game sessions. You gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits. No twinks (must have absolute power immediately types), but I will assist you with the math to make a potent PC as possible. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores, and ruthlessly so. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), and I am adept at teaching, I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. Vampire has difficult to make characters (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month. The only thing I haven't added in is the end of the world, Gehenna, YET. The modern day core rulebook is the one you want to spend time reading for the lore, but dark ages will have the discipline dice mechanics. Also, the Book of Nod will feature in the campaign. VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed if you do exactly the right things at the right time, you will want to take notes to refer to later on, no exaggeration. RIght now they are in mid 1990, you will get their average xp to start with. You even get free generation if I can find a sire, an extra dot of disciplines, and 5 extra freebie plus 2 merits (Potent Aura, Common Sense/1 dot of Status). I give free Generation if you take from the official list. This can vary wildly based on what the two of us come up with (you dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc). If you take from the Obscure list, you can buy your generation to 7th if you blow 6 background points on it.  Still gotta pick up Mentor for your sire, though.    I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics skill as it is needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character speed when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc. The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting. The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce, Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat) Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia, True Brujah. if you pick from the official list, I can give you free generation, but you gotta also pay for mentor ratings. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 dots to pull it off. You will likely still need a mentor though. Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla).  If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the core rulebook, the dark ages core rulebook, tome of secrets, and Erciyes Fragments books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. You will want a spiral notebook and a mech pencil with a white eraser preferred (its gonna be a super complicated campaign lasting at least 2 years of weekly sessions). A plastic page protector for the character sheet, and a wet erase marker. Might be a good idea to get the V20 modern core book just for the fluff and abilities, but that's up to you as it isn't strictly necessary. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset.

The Schumann Perversion

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Utopia has been unlocked by the power of lightning.  Harnessing the secrets of the Schumann Resonances, the Earth’s heartbeat, has ignited a new technological revolution. Profit margins keep trending higher. Productivity is expanding faster than ever before. People are living longer, better lives. Some even develop abilities believed lost to myth.  But all the positivity is just a pacemaker hiding the arrhythmia.  Look past the neon. Beyond the new tech & “progress,” the truth is grimmer. People are struggling. Most can’t raise their social score enough to get even basic housing. Unless you want to work for the mega corporation, the Grimaldi Group, jobs are rare. No one in charge is tackling the freakish illnesses people suffer -- glitches some believe are tied to the perversion of the Earth’s heartbeat.  If the status quo maintains a steady enough pulse, those in power don’t have to act. Unanswered questions keep coming. Problems are compounding. If leaders won’t administer the shock, someone else will have to do it. Why not you? The Schumann Perversion blends cyberpunk, conspiracy, and the high strange. Expect virtual reality, doomsday cults, and voices from the superspectrum. High-octane action, covert investigations, and irrational phenomena await as you excise the conspiracy. If you want to be the system jolt, contact me.

Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, violence but with the occasional HR training module. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Think of this as a means to lead you down a new path,  one where you learn about a you that you have never met but has always known was there or you get your money back,  no questions asked.  Feel free to message me or discord - yeroldpalwill.  Seriously, they're a nice group of people and you'll have fun.   Thank for reading this far though.  If you're a newbie  don't worry,  I'll help with the character.   Just combine your two favorite movie, literature, or anime genres together.  Also, Wednesdays,  7 PM eastern.

TTRPG STATION looking for Reliable players & gms?

Adult Adult
LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
Looking for Reliable TTRPG Players & GMs? We're Building a Community! • Online • 18+ • LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈  • Voice (Some games may require cameras) • Multiple time zones 🌎  • Systems: D&D 5e/5.5e, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, Fallout, Kids on Bikes, and more Have you ever spent days looking for a group, finally found one, made it to Session 0... and then the GM disappeared? Or maybe you're a GM who's tired of players dropping out halfway through a campaign or constantly having to cancel sessions because people don't show up? That's exactly why my friend and I created TTRPG STATION. Our goal is to build a community where players and GMs can find reliable groups while also making it easy to try different tabletop RPGs and campaign lengths. How it works Everyone joins the server as a New Adventurer. Before joining the main pool of campaigns, you'll play a few onboarding sessions. Once you've completed those, you'll earn Adventurer status. The idea isn't to gatekeep, it's simply to build a community of people who have shown they're willing to communicate, show up and commit to games. All games are run within the server, and we'll be hosting a variety of formats: One-shots Mini campaigns (3–6 sessions) Short campaigns (6–12 sessions) Medium campaigns (12–15 sessions) This creates a shared player pool where people can jump into games that fit their schedules. If you only have time for one-shots or shorter campaigns, you can still play regularly. If you're already in a long-term campaign but want another game on the side, that's easy too. For GMs, the biggest advantage is having access to players who have already demonstrated they're committed and reliable. Of course life happens and schedules change that's unavoidable but we're hoping this system will make finding and maintaining good groups much easier. We're also happy to support other systems if GMs want to run them. One of the goals of the server is to give people the opportunity to discover and try new TTRPGs. We're looking for GMs and moderators! Right now we're in the early stages of building the community, so we're primarily looking for GMs and moderators to help us get things started. If you're interested in running games, helping build the community or/and eventually becoming a player as well we'd love to have you. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy being part of shoot me a message on here or on discord @Reyna_688

Hello hello! My name is John, I'm 29 years old, and have been DM'ing for a little over a decade now (10 years). I am looking for a single player to join my newly started ongoing long-term campaign after loosing a player due to scheduling. ----- Technical Information. August 31st is the starting/resuming date for the Homebrew Campaign. The sessions will operate between Discord (for voice) and Roll20 (for sheets and maps etc). The campaign has no level cap, with the intention to rise to 20, and the games combat to role-playing ratio being typically 40/60, but is influenced by the players choices. This ratio can shift to add exploration, but this is also subject to the players. The game will utilise the majority of the 2024/25 editions of the Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master's Guide. This game aims to last a year long and reach 20th level. The game will begin at 3rd level. The sessions would be bi-weekly (every two weeks) with the certainty to become weekly, occurring every Monday from 8PM BST/UK to Midnight. Reminder that the times mentioned are BST (UK). (These times and day are non-negotiable as they work around ongoing sessions, people and work.)  ----- Disclaimers: - It is necessary to be friendly to all races, cultures, genders etc. I am gay, and my partner will be joining the campaign as a Player. (This doesnt mean there wont be incentive humour). - It is also required for people to not bring real world problems, politics/political views and drama to the game. D&D is an escape, let's keep it that way. - Please note that any in-game cultural/political inspiration is pure fiction, using real world inspiration, not meant to be taken seriously or in an offensive manner. - There can be sensitive topics and occasional light inappropration in some storylines, or woven into some characters. If there are any themes that can be triggering, or are simply a no-go then let me know and I will accommodate to that should you become a player. ----- World and Lore Information. The world is Homebrew and as such contains a plethora of Homebrew content, such as NPC's, Races, Classes, Subclasses, Monsters, Magic and more. Enough to entice experienced players but not too much to confuse new players. During Character Creation, a new Homebrew mechanics will come into play, the Origin Class . In short, the Origin Class provides that unique flavour that makes up your character, whether it's taking preexisting features from other classes, subclasses or even monsters, taking spells from a list that isnt yours, or to creating new ones entirely. This class is like a mini subclass, and increases in level based on the player characters advancement with that origin concept. The world is split into four realms, separated by the vast expanse of space, with portals and planar traversal being the only way to go to other lands. They are typical fantasty worlds, with magic and artificing in certain places, ranging from scarce to very advanced.  Full details of the Realms and the campaign itself will be granted, provided you get to phase two of joining (phase two is not a conformation that you're in)

Quick Info: LGBTQ+ friendly. POC friendly. (Seriously, want more poc/women/queer/etc players! Not only white men!) Capitalist unfriendly. No bigotry. No sexual violence. 25+ only. 30+ preferred. Hope to play every other week. Looking to start up in a couple months, after getting a group and some backstories going. System: MSH/Advanced FASERIP with homebrew. Points Buy character creation. Some powers disallowed. Interest Form: https://forms.gle/PZijF6Uiw2ptTXBGA Session Structure: Sessions – Get into a fight, foil a villain’s plot, a smattering of interpersonal drama. The meat and potatoes. This is when you punch a living bulldozer through a building. In-Between sessions – Play by post to forward more of the interpersonal stories, background stories, investigations, and other plot threads not covered in sessions. Feel free to engage with this as much or as little as you wish. Will begin with one-shots. Over time plot threads will naturally weave themselves in and out, forming stories, similar to how comics of the era were written. Heroes may encounter people and situations from their past. Villains may return for revenge, group together for more dangerous plans, etc. Setting: The year is 1984, as envisioned by the 1960s. Technology is retro-futuristic. Many modern devices do not exist. Many older devices exist in more advanced fashions. The internet is for hacker nerds and government organizations. Cell phones are not available. Pay phones are widely available, and are generally video phones. Young adults/teenagers lean towards being hipsters, beatniks, freakers, hippies. There are still a good amount of squares. Middle aged + are mostly squares. The elderly are Great War vets. Cities and countries are all fictional, though based on real world places. The colonization of the West was far less brutal and ugly. There is still a Cold War with Communist powers. The police force does not exist. Instead, they are replaced by Safety Officers; Trained for de-escalation. Not particularly inclined to violence. They still have a Detective Bureau, Riot Squad, and small Mech Squad. Guns that shoot bullets were banned after the Great War. Instead, stun pistols are common. Knock people out and leave them with a groggy headache. Murders still happen, through other methods. There are still obvious rich/poor social divides, but racism/sexism/homophobia/etc is not nearly as prevalent. The one exception is mutants. Society shuns mutated humans to varying degrees. Inspiration: ‘60s Doom Patrol. Morrison Doom Patrol / Animal Man. ‘70s Defenders. ‘80s Suicide Squad. Power Man & Iron Fist. Copra. The Jam. Madman. The Maxx. Venture Bros season 6. Goofy hold overs from the Silver Age meets a newfangled “gritty realism.” Morals are becoming more grey. Tongue-in-cheek play meets serious characters. Characters: C-List street-level supers in a mid-sized city. Dramatic personal lives. Classic costumes. You come up with your basic character concept, and we will work together to flesh it out and fit the character into the world. Details will be broad at first, with more specifics emerging during the course of the game. Examples: Techno-barbarian from a Kirby-stlyed future fantasy world after the fall and rebirth of man. Reincarnated Moon Princess from the dead ancient culture on the moon. Famous b-movie actor/model turned super spy and master of disguise. Unhoused person who fell asleep in the wrong alley. Celebrity fitness instructor and motivational speaker.

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello, friend! We have slots to fill. The campaign is Paramnesic Flux; my schizo cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic homebrew campaign set in the year 2090. The system is Cities Without Number, it is easy to learn and all the necessary resources will be provided to you. We aren't playing D&D, for Christ's sake stop messaging me about it For some context, we are post-WW3, post cataclysmic meteoric impact, and post colony-ship launch disaster. Certain rare individuals can influence causality, represented by the magic and summoning rules. Cybernetics as an industry is slowly losing prominence in favor of gene-splicing and nanite therapies. Most surviving cities are either at higher elevations or have been sealed and pressurized to ensure livable air quality. People uploaded into early-gen cybernetic bodies struggle to find working replacement parts. Corporate-funded enclaves exist in facsimile of ancient cultures, from genuine attempts at recreating historical periods, to escapism thinly veiled in pastiche. The player characters began their story as amnesiacs, no evidence of their identity save for a designation tattooed just above their heart. Goals may vary, from unearthing the memories of your former life, to carving out a name for yourself. As you level up, you will be given basic writing prompts for flashbacks to the character's former life, up to max level. If they die, you will have the opportunity to roll a new character with a normal background. Seeing as you will be joining after session 1, you will have the opportunity to join either as another amnesiac with the same benefits and drawbacks, or as a more normal human. Be advised: there will be gore, prostitution, gang violence, existential dread, political intrigue, slurs, drug use, and other mature themes. They won't be the core focus, but they will be present. It will be a narrative and RP-heavy game, but I include at least one hostile encounter per session if possible. ----- Major influences thus far have been Transmetropolitan, Terminator, Big Trouble in Little China, Ghost in the Shell, A Clockwork Orange, and many many more. Be prepared for the strange. ----- As for me, I have been DMing homebrew 5e campaigns for almost ten years now. Thank God I am finally getting the hell away from that system. The game will be played in r20 and our discord chat every Thursday at 8:30PM EST. 18+ only, a Mic is required. Pop me a message and I will send you a link to the server and help get any other questions answered. And to help repel the sociopaths: this game is about the group as a whole, you aren't the main character.

Magic was once a divine harmony that held reality together—structured, stable, and unquestioned. That harmony broke. Now the world is unstable in subtle but growing ways: spells behave unpredictably, memories don’t always align, and entire regions of the world shift as if reality itself is improvising. In response, powerful factions race to understand what caused the collapse. Some seek to restore order. Others believe the fracture is evolution. And some want to push the world past its breaking point entirely. Amid this growing instability, a group of adventurers from different walks of life finds themselves drawn into the same pattern of anomalies—each one touched in a personal way by the unraveling of magic. There is no chosen hero, no singular destiny. Only a shared truth beginning to emerge: Something is composing reality again… and the world is being rewritten one note at a time. Whether the party becomes its correction, its disruption, or its final silence is entirely up to them. I’m aiming to host the game from friday the 17th 4:00–7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (Lexington, KY), which is 8:00–11:00 p.m. GMT for anyone joining from outside the U.S. 🌍 Trying to land in that window so folks across time zones can hop in comfortably—hope to see you there! 🎲

The kingdom of Krusiven is caught in the throws of a revolution. The monstrous King Kudellir has used his authority over the kingdom to impose high taxes, establish harsh curfews and checkpoints, and use the military against the citizenry. Now, the Crowned Prince has vocally shown his support for the rebellion, leaving the safety of the castle to lead the people out of his father's rule. In this game, you will be taking on the role as the Yellow Brigade, a small party of revolutionaries as they climb the ranks to help free the kingdom from tyranny. You'll travel the country and gather supporters and uncover hidden secrets that the King has kept hidden. --- The Human Kingdom of Krusiven is an old one, rising to prominence soon after the Fall of Obrikjar- the capital of the First Empire. The ruling family, House Kravik, united the wandering surviors of the Fall and founded a realm of Human traditionalism and a deep-seeded hated for divinity. For many generations, the Kings of the land were responsible for growing the kingdom to its current glory. But the current King, Lawrence Kravik III, has done the opposite. The tyrant has imposed new taxes and increased existing ones, sent his personal militia out to enforce his personal law, holds public executions for lawbreakers like parades, and has even talked about starting food restrictions. All the while he lavishes in fat luxury, and whispers from castle staff tell of dark rituals and even darker visitors. The tipping point came when the personal soldiers of the King, called the Cerulean Claws, began taking too much coal from the people of Graywell's Hollow. The small mining town had already had most of their coal taken by the Crown for "royal business", but now they were left with basically nothing, and winter was soon approaching. The people revolted and drove the Crown from their town and secured enough of their coal to last the winter as well as full control of their coal mine. This inspired groups from around the kingdom to rise, and soon the Uncrowned were established. After a year of war, neither side gaining any true advantage and essentially just trading lands back and forth, the Crown Prince of the kingdom fled the castle and joined with the Uncrowned. This reignited the fires of rebellion in the people and they came back in force, with one of the major farming communities of the kingdom forcing the Crown to leave soon after this news. Now, the revolution is at a pivitol point where a big move needs to be made. There are many smaller groups within the rebellion that want the spotlight, one in particular acts as the "special forces" for the Uncrowned. The Yellow Brigade is a small taskforce of heavy hitters made of a mix of different kinds of fighters brought together with the sole purpose to win the war and put Prince Avery on the throne. ---|---|--- Hey, folks 👋🏻 My name is Braeden and as you can see, I'm putting together a D&D 5.5E table centered around a revolution against a tyrant ruler. I'm a long-time lover, player, and GM for many TTRPGs with experience going back to when I was 8 years old. I was inspired by Fable 3 to make this game when, after I played it, I thought "I could do better than that". So I wrote this 😂 I plan on having large scale battles, naval battles, and stellar boss battles paired with a tracked party renown, political intrigue, and the ability to affect change in the kingdom. This is a paid table with 5 total seats and the campaign will run from Level 3 to Level 12-14. The standard rate for play is $20/session for a 4-hour session ($5/hr), but we may sometimes go under. I do my best to not go overtime, but if that happens, your session rate is capped at $20. Sessions will be every Wednesday at 8:00 AM CST and will repeat for 8-10 sessions. If you're interested in this game, or if you have other questions, you can reach out here or on Discord: cheeks 4901. Let's play some fun games together!

Please contact me on discord via "ellacrium" if you want to get if contact! FREE GAME, this is not a paid game About me Hello there! I am Brett, (M20) but online I go by Ella. I've been playing DND for around 5 years now, and Dming since I've started playing. Personally I've only ever played online but would absolutely love to start up a new IRL game. I have a place to play at my place, but for our first few sessions I would like to play a one shot or two at a game shop because no offense I'm not comfortable letting strangers into my home, and also this lets us connect in a neutral space. I'm a theatre kid born and raised, have a feline friend that I love and cherish, and am a big gamer and anime watcher, just recently I binged all the saw films for some reason lol. I would like for the game to be weekly but if we have to do bi-weekly, or something else I'm fine with that. My goal currently is just to find some awesome friends to play some good old fasioned DND with! :) How I like to run my games! For how I like to run my games, they are normally more serious, with of course room for sillies and whatnot, probably 70/30 RP to Combat, but if my players prefer combat I can give them more often! I personally prefer no truly random combat encounters, opting to make every encounter mean something or have some reason to have happened. (No random wolf fights in the forest, instead bandits that all have a small backstory and are trying to rob the cargo your carrying) I used to make all my maps on Inkarnate but will more likely than not do some drawn paper maps for this. For classes like blood hunter and Artificer they are both allowed I will just implement some small changes to what they will do! For other homebrew it is on a let me know basis on whether it is allowed or not! I additionally have a list of homebrew that I can provide that I wrote myself! Please have your own dice, or way to roll them, for how you create your character sheet is up to you as long as I have a way to access it like a copy you provide me or screenshots you send me! Additionally I like running exclusively homebrew games, as for me its more fulfilling, so I apologize if you don't like this! What we will be playing! (CAMPAIGN) As I stated before I would like to see if we could play a one shot or two before meeting up to start a campaign. The campaign I am currently undecided what we would be playing as I like to tailor make campaigns for my players and for what they are currently looking to play, so please lmk what your looking for and what you would like to play when you can if there is a particular theme that you really like such as Fuedal japanese, pirate, typical fantasy, grim fantasy etc. or what your prefered style of play is, if you like puzzles, etc or anything else you'd want to add! I also have a few premade campaigns but would rather make something new for you guys to explore!

Hazecrux: Lines in the Mist

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
# The World Behind the Mist Awaits You All you need is an idea for an ordinary person whose life has become entangled with a myth or fictional character (Preferably one from Greek Mythos or a Videogame). After that, it will be up to you to decide what kind of legend you will become. --- Hazecrux is a modern city you won't find on any map outside it's borderd. It's a place where myth and legend walk beside ordinary people every day. Most will never notice. While Superheros and Magic might be real, An armored knight looks like a police officer in riot gear. A fireball might be remembered as a gas explosion. Impossible events become strange rumors before fading into comfortable explanations. The Mist protects the regulars of humanity from the impossible, rewriting memories and smoothing over the cracks in reality. But some people awaken. They become **Rifts**—individuals whose lives have become intertwined with ancient myths, legendary heroes, forgotten monsters, fairy tales, gods, and stories older than civilization itself. Those legends grant incredible abilities, but they are never free. Every step deeper into your myth brings greater power... and a greater risk of losing yourself to the story that chose you. Hazecrux has survived catastrophe before. Years ago, an event known only as **the Calamity** nearly destroyed the city. During the chaos, the mysterious Overseer evacuated thousands into vast underground shelters. Yet salvation came with tragedy. The city's greatest hero, Excelsior, returned from the dead only to become its greatest threat, slaughtering innocents before finally being defeated by a single masked luchador. The age of superheroes ended that day. In their place rose the luchadores—modern champions who protect the city where the old heroes failed. The Overseer vanished soon after. His successor, Tina Bellows, now oversees Hazecrux openly. Even ordinary citizens know her name, though few understand what she truly protects, thinking her just some unelected Governmental official. Challenging her is the charismatic Zander Tombs, a young man with ties to the criminal underworld. He argues the city deserves freedom instead of guardianship. His supporters call him a revolutionary. His critics point to his father is a man whispered to control much of Hazecrux's criminal underworld. As if that weren't enough, a colossal spaceship now hangs over the city that Zander says he controls... along with his gaggle of would be supervillians that follow him. Even the Mist refused to explain that away, letting all see it and the shuttles that descend into the streets dropping who knows what and picking up only Zander knows who. A new faction has emerge. A new part of the City has sprung up in the Barren Fields, Arcaida... the Las Vegas of Hazecrux... a place with an ecclectic feel found only in the Basho. This island on the land feels distinct as the rest of the city sits on a knife's edge. Everyone can tell the world stands on the the cusp of another turning point. And somehow... ...you've become part of the story. --- ## If You Join the Game, You Will Find: **Character-Driven Stories** Who you care about matters as much as what you can do. Friends, family, lovers, rivals, mentors, and enemies shape the story just as much as ancient powers. Relationships are the heart of the campaign. **Mystery and Investigation** Every legend hides another secret. Every conspiracy has another layer beneath it. The truth is buried beneath the Mist, and discovering it often raises more questions than answers. **Myth Meets Modern Life** Ancient gods argue over coffee. Fairy queens negotiate through corporate lawyers. Dragons own businesses. Heroes have mortgages. Legendary stories continue in the modern world, wearing contemporary faces. **Meaningful Choices** There are no perfect answers. Every alliance has a cost. Every victory changes someone. Your choices won't simply determine how your character grows—they will shape the future of Hazecrux itself. **Identity and Transformation** The greatest struggle isn't defeating monsters. It's deciding whether you remain yourself or slowly become the myth living inside you. Power always asks something in return. The question is what you're willing to give. --- The game is run using Roll20 for tabletop play and Discord for voice and video. Sessions are streamed and recorded for posterity. A microphone is required, and a camera is strongly encouraged. This is a roleplay-heavy campaign centered on mystery, investigation, relationships, and difficult choices. Combat happens, but violence is rarely the solution to the problems that matter most. The game explores mature themes and emotional subject matter, and we maintain an open-door policy so players can comfortably discuss boundaries and sensitive topics. New players are absolutely welcome. Whether you're familiar with *City of Mist* or completely new to the setting, we'll help you learn as you play. Characters begin as ordinary people whose lives have become touched by myth, and the campaign gradually explores what that means for them and the city around them. --- This is a mature game about mystery, mythology, identity, and the stories that define us. It asks not simply what powers you possess, but what kind of person you choose to become when legends begin writing themselves through your life. If you enjoy stories like *The Dresden Files*, *American Gods*, *Percy Jackson* (with a darker tone), *The Sandman*, *The Wicked + The Divine*, *Fables*, *Buffy the Vampire Slayer*, or *Spider-Man* at its most personal, you'll probably feel right at home beneath the Mist.

Dawnstriders Guild

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Hi! I am looking for 1–6 players for an ongoing homebrew D&D 5e campaign called The Dawnstriders Guild. The party has created an adventuring guild called The Dawnstriders, and the campaign focuses on guild life, quests, exploration, reputation-building, character moments, dangerous jobs, and the consequences of player choices. This is not mainly a “chosen heroes must immediately save the world” campaign. It is more about adventurers building something together and seeing where the road takes them. The current party is around level 3. I use milestone leveling, and because of how the campaign works, it is not guaranteed that every character will always be exactly the same level. Homebrew Documents I have a lot of written documents for the setting, including things like allowed playable races, nations, gods, world lore, house rules, and other campaign information. You do not need to read or memorize everything before joining. The documents are there to help players who want more detail, to answer character creation questions, and to make the homebrew world easier to understand over time. Schedule We usually play biweekly, and sessions are normally 5+ hours. I am in Sweden, so times are based on Swedish time: CET / UTC+1 during winter CEST / UTC+2 during summer The exact day is chosen by poll. Players usually vote between options on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, often starting around 1:00 PM Swedish time. A Guild Campaign session is usually doable as long as at least 4 people vote for that session. You can request that we start later, but please mention it as soon as possible, preferably two or more days before the session. For Guild Campaign days, it may also be possible to arrive up to two hours early or leave up to one hour early, but please mention it ahead of time, preferably at least one day before the session. Platform We use Roll20 for the game and Discord for voice. The Discord server is a large YouTuber’s server where I am an admin. The server itself is big, but you do not need to interact with the wider server if you do not want to. You only need to use the relevant campaign areas and voice chat. Table Expectations This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table. I am an ally, and I do not allow real-life bigotry at the table. In-world prejudice and conflict may exist in limited ways, but I try to keep it minimal and not make it a major focus. The goal is for the real people at the table to feel respected and comfortable. I am looking for players who are friendly, communicative, respectful, and willing to work with the group. You do not need to already know the other party members or connect your character to them before joining. Campaign Tone The Guild Campaign is generally flexible and adventuring-focused. Expect a mix of: Roleplay Exploration Quests Combat Guild development Homebrew lore Character choices mattering Some danger and consequences There is also a separate Ships Campaign, which is higher-tier, harsher, and more serious. New players would be joining The Dawnstriders Guild first. After you have been in the guild for a while and gotten to know the group, joining the Ships Campaign may become possible if it seems like a good fit. AI Token Note A number of NPC tokens and some player character tokens may have been made using AI image tools. I want to be transparent about this. I am not using AI because I think artists are unimportant. Quite the opposite: I believe real artists deserve to be paid fairly for their work. I simply do not have the artistic ability to make all the tokens myself, and I do not currently have the money to pay artists for the amount of art a long-running homebrew campaign can require. Players are welcome to provide their own character art or token, including commissioned art, self-made art, free-use art, public domain art, or other art they have permission to use. The Gods of the Setting The world has Nine Gods, and they are the only true gods of the setting. Most people worship them in some way, though some are more devoted to one than the others. Lezias — God of light and dark, justice and crime, truth and lies, mercy and judgment. He is tied to courts, law, balance, redemption, and punishment. Voysus — God of smithing, cities, community, protection, construction, craftsmanship, invention, hearths, and contracts. He is honored by builders, smiths, inventors, city folk, and protectors. Toesis — God of earth, shadow, twilight, storms, peace, marriage, metals, wanderers, exiles, secrecy, hidden places, and forgotten things. He is strange, unpredictable, and deeply tied to travel and the unknown. Briona — Goddess of knowledge, strength, order, law, trade, alchemy, oaths, secrets, dreams, stories, memory, writing, teaching, logic, and debate. She is revered by scholars, lawkeepers, teachers, scribes, and those who seek mastery. Araura — Goddess of magic, stars, travel, rain, sun, autumn, luck, fate, and navigation. She is closely tied to spellcasters, travelers, weather, dreams, and the arcane. Rosrena — Goddess of chaos, nature, life, spring, trickery, mischief, birth, food, festivals, wilderness, and beasts. She is joyful and nurturing, but not harmless. Zurona — Goddess of death, wealth, water, fire, undeath, judgment of souls, and the afterlife. She is feared and respected, and most people pray to her at funerals or when death feels near. Emera — Goddess of love, war, beauty, home, blood, art, passion, jealousy, glory, honor, courtship, and seduction. Soldiers, lovers, artists, and those driven by passion often pray to her. Eton — God of destruction, the hunt, creation, winter, survival, endurance, and the moon. He is harsh, primal, and tied to cold, predators, ruin, strength, and survival. Resurrection Resurrection exists, but it is not automatic. When someone tries to bring a dead character back, it is treated as a petition to the gods, not just a simple spell effect. A resurrection attempt involves a roll with a high DC. The DC can be lowered by meaningful deeds, words, offerings, roleplay, or other things that make sense in the moment. If the character has been dead for less than about one minute, the resurrection is usually still under Zurona’s judgment. If the soul has already been judged and passed onward, the petition may instead go to whichever god has claim over that soul. At the beginning of the ritual, there may be a clue, such as a smell, sound, or other sign, hinting at which god is being petitioned. The basic idea is: resurrection is possible, but it is serious, uncertain, and tied to the gods. Applying Please message me with: 1. What should I call you? 2. Are you 18+? 3. What is your D&D 5e experience? 4. What kind of character are you interested in playing? 5. What do you enjoy most in D&D? 6. Are you comfortable playing in a homebrew world with homebrew gods and lore? 7. Are you comfortable with a biweekly poll-based schedule where the exact day may change? 8. Are you okay with sessions usually being 5+ hours? 9. Are you okay joining a large Discord server for voice, while only needing to interact with the campaign area? 10. Are you okay with some NPC and character tokens being made with AI tools, for the reasons explained above? 11. Is there anything you do not want included in the game? 12. Are you mainly interested in The Dawnstriders Guild, or would you maybe also be interested in the harsher Ships Campaign later?

AI free, no fee, based in America, voice & video, one-shot Hello! My name is Nicolas(he/him) and I am a BRAND NEW Game Master but I am experienced in vampire! I am looking for four to five players that are preferably experienced to play a one-shot called Reins of Power. This is a modern politcal mystery so please think of that while creating characters! This will be an online game, on discord, on a date agreed upon. If all players are not in the call ten minutes after time agreed upon, the game will start without them! Expect this game to last 3 or so hours. This will be a rules of cool game, which means you can break/bend the rules if the Game Master decides if it’s cool/funny. This is going to be a not incredibly serious roleplay game, still be aware although that VtM can/will have dark themes! Also, I am 17 years old, so please do not volunteer if you are uncomfortable playing with a minor. We will discuss anything players want to mention during session zero, if you’re to uncomfortable to say it out loud, please DM me! I will keep it anonymous but still meation what I was told. Afterwards we will do character introductions before playing. Again, if not all have joined we will wait ten minutes until we start playing! If all have joined we will immediately start. To join, please DM send me a message through discord! Thank you so much for reading this!

Rolicrite "Realms of Chaos"

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.
