Welcome to Fulcre, a land adjacent to Faerun. Created long ago by Travenstry the only god of this plane, it is a lush land filled with life, laughter, and love. Or was.... Travenstry hadn't been recorded to walk amonst his creations in thousands of years until 5 years ago he stepped down from his perch in the clouds. No one knows why he stepped down but as soon as he landed on Fulcre soil he instantly withered, shriveled up, and died in a puff of ash and smoke. Now, as a result, magic is dying and clerics and paladins of Trav have lost their abilties. Not yet completely magic in all its forms are chaotic and destabilizing. This has caused the once peaceful kingdoms to go to war over artifacts and last vestiges of magical power. Hundreds of thousands have died in these wars and kingdoms have fallen in only the first 2 years of this terrible event. Now the land is in shambles and 4 villagers from a town called Gastel, on the fringes of the map have decided to set out and see or do what they can in this wild world on the brink of destruction. I have done a couple oneshots that were supposed to be campaigns but due to scheduling errors or trouble players I have yet to really roll out a long term campaign and instead have been stockpiling ideas and events in the world of Fulcre for a few years now. I try to get this off the ground at least once a year. Here's hoping this is the one. As i said I'm a newer DM. My style is improvised and for the most part theatre of the mind. I do not enjoy the crunchiness of having to stick to rules as cemented. Rule of cool or creativity is my golden rule. I also have an iron clad golden rule that most should abide by. Treat others with the repect and curteousy you wish to be treated with. In this campaign back up characters are encouraged for those with a hankering for combat. The world is low to no magic and as a result healing is quite difficult. With the exceptions of potions and artifacts(extremely hard to come by) or magic users that have found creative ways to improvise healing or someone extraordinarily gifted in the art of medicine and bodily health, long or short resting are the only ways one might heal. If you engage in combat knowing this you risk almost certain death. On the topic of magic, magical classes are still available however I have a magic consequence table similar to wild magic tables that have anywhere from disatrous, to wonderful, to wacky consequences on it and it is skewed towards disastrous as magic becomes more unpredictable with every passing year and with lessening effects.  Alost every situation I throw at you has 2-3 solutions or ways to go about for absolute certainty. However I encourage and will be very happy if I am surprised and you find a creativite or cool way around my encounters. As this is theatre of the mind it also pays to always ask questions if your unsure of the scene and ake notes on anything you think may be important or anything I may tell you is very important. Games will be held weekly at 7pm est Mondays or Tuesdays. I have both days completely open and will cement the exact day depending on the availability of players but 7pm is non-negotiable. Something evil is trapping the souls of the dead and draining life from all who have been raised from death by magic. This curse not only prevents the raising of the dead, but also causes creatures that were previously raised from the dead to wither and eventually die. Unfortunately for you, you have all been brought back from the dead at some point. On one battlefield or another, you have all known the blessing of the Revival spell. And thus, stranded now so very far from home, you are under the effect of the curse that has befallen this foreign place. You have already lost most of your power, be it magic or might, and it is only a question of time until you perish. Unless you find a way to thwart this inglorious fate and save yourselves, the land, and its people. The tone of this campaign is dark, horror-like at times. She has explored the better half of the Midwest and has decided to settle down here. She says it's because she can see the sunrise from where she lives. Winchester: An easygoing 40yo businessman. With a gleaming bald scalp, a rotund body, and a tiny, beady eyes, he's looks like a very stereotypical wealthy man. He's on a business trip and decided to stop in this town for the night, the night before the train broke down. Greetings! I am running a One Piece D&D 5e game, where the players are playing as Marines. I currently have two players(1 Male, 1 Female), and we're looking for one more player to join our ranks since we have lost our third player. The Tournament of Realms is a competitive playtest of my TTRPG system, Wysteria a d10 dice-pool game built around Action Points, modular spellcrafting, scalable gear crafting, and layered defenses using Dodge, Block, Shield Points, and Hit Points. Success is determined by rolling d10s, rewarding specialization, preparation, and creative builds. In this playtest event, players enter a deadly centennial tournament hosted by the Immortal Dracolich Kazuul who emerges once every 100 years hosting a tournament of the strongest in the land. Contestants earn Prestige by completing objectives, surviving encounters, winning duels, uncovering secrets, and manipulating the political landscape of the arena. Magic is undiscovered and yet there are ways to flow with it, like The Cults, The Divine and The Arcane to name a few. Participants will fight against each other in sanctioned duels, team fights, sponsor fights and unsanctioned rival clashes, fight alongside each other in shifting alliances to overcome monsters, hazards, and faction threats and engage in espionage, sabotage, and information warfare to undermine competitors and steal advantages. Background: I and a few friends are looking to start a homebrew Star Wars tabletop campaign, this will take place during the clone wars on a custom planet that is embroiled in its own conflict. This will be a semi-serious campaign that is focused heavily on role-play and narrative with themes of resistance, political intrigue, and occasional light-hearted moments. I myself have been regularly playing DND 5e for about 5 years as a player, although I am a bit newer to DM'ing in case that is a dealbreaker for anyone. Hello! I am a 22yo that has been getting back into TTRPGS, I am currently trying to do one-shots to get back into the flow of things. The Alien RPG caught my eye, specifically the cinematic mode, which is for one shots. I want to try and run the COTG module, which supposedly takes 4-5 hours in a single session. This module is inspired by old Alien movies, stuck on a ship with lots of drama sort of deal. Players will have agendas, motivations and everyone won't survive. It will be a very rough, horror-ish experience with fights between the character amidst chaos. You choose from pre-made characters and quickly get going, roleplay is very important in this TTRPG. Even if you are not good at roleplay, that is okay, beginners are welcome! It's just about having fun, and trying to survive. Lastly our human ifrit fire/metal kineticist, aoe damage as well as single target damage, he is from a respected working class smithing family in the city but whose power comes from having a part of a minor elemental lord's soul within them. Anyone in NW Atlanta, Georgia looking for an in person game? We have a group of six players I’m GMing that are halfway through book 3 of Mummy’s Mask AP. we can add one player to this game if Wednesday evenings works better. We play every other Wednesday night from 7-11 pm. We have an Obsidian Portal website set up for this campaign to track all aspects of the campaign (xps, treasure, adventure journal, etc…) and allow for PCs to communicate in character using the message boards there.
