Hi, I'm Patchwork. I'm a 20-something geek who enjoys spending his time on various TTRPGs. My previous group fell apart due to scheduling issues, as most do, so I'm here looking for something new! I'm mostly into the roleplaying aspect of tabletop games, I enjoy immersing myself in whatever character and world I'm put into, and bouncing off party hijinks! I usually put a lot of effort and a decent amount of writing into my characters and their backstories, but I usually do that as a creative writing exercise, and never expect a DM to know it front-to-back (I always put a summarization/TL;DR first). But if you do, all the better! In terms of systems and experience with VTTs, you can already see what systems I've looked into/played, and I've gamed a bunch in Roll20 and Foundry, so I'll have no issues navigating either of those VTTs. But if you have something new, I'm always willing to learn! As for the kind of games I'm looking for, I've been playing Fantasy for quite a long time now, and I'm hoping to get into some Sci-fi settings, and trying out systems in that niche. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

47 year old Israeli, I've DMed quite a bit, but would like to play a bit too. Regardless of a couple of years of experience and the fact I really enjoy the hobbie, I'm not a rules lawyer and would prefer newbies to "old pros" in most cases (unless the old pros don't take themselves too seriously). iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hello! I'm Amanda, I've played d&d 5e for a couple of years - one as a wizard and one as a druid. Looking for 18+ (21+ even better), lgbtq+ friendly groups. I'm in the EST timezone. Friday evenings and Sundays are my best times, possibly Monday, Thursday, or Saturday evenings. Casual player here hoping to have fun and maybe make some friends along the way. I love spellcasters and really want to play either a wizard or sorcerer as my next character. Class and race ultimately would be determined based on campaign and version of D&D. I'm looking for a good mix of roleplay/exploration/combat; I really enjoy the rp aspect and having a fun storyline to follow as well as the flow of combat. Being able to roll my physical dice is a must, there's something really satisfying about it. I can promise I'm not looking to dice cheat or anything. I started out with an in person group and due to that I get a lot of satisfaction from actually rolling my own dice vs clicking a button. I also collect dice that match each character - my first character had a few sets of purple-themed dice, my next character had dice themed around her being a circle of wildfire druid (plant dice, fire dice, and green dice). I plan on that continuing with my next character. I'm really wanting to play in the standard d&d high fantasy setting (nothing space, mech, etc). Homebrew campaigns only, I'm not wanting to play one of the premade campaigns like Descent into Avernus. I do also have a character idea! I'm not set on playing her, and the idea is setting and starting-level dependent. But basically: A character who starts off down the path of a paladin or cleric, but realizes magic is her calling instead. The reason she started as a paladin or cleric would be worked into the setting, but originally the idea was that she was a cultist who fully believed in that cult. Until she became disillusioned and saw through for what was really going on. After fleeing the cult (did she help take it down?), she wanted to atone and become a paladin or cleric to fight those in power in cults throughout the land - and then found magic was her calling in that fight instead. Functionally, starting with a level in paladin or cleric then multiclassing into wizard or sorcerer.

I'm looking to find long term campaigns for long term connections!

25+ years of experience with 3e/3.5/PF1. Normally I'm happy to GM permanently or take turns, but I've been dealing with chronic health issues which make game preparations unreliable. I'm currently on disability, so I have both excessive free time and extremely limited funds (non-paid games preferred). I'm open 11AM to 10PM EST every day, except Sunday, alternating Tuesday evenings, and Saturday evenings. I would happily join multiple different games to fill my schedule. I love tactical combat (the more complex, the better!). I love to roleplay with other players and GMs alike, as much or as little as the group is comfortable with. Hi everyone! I'm a literature and RPG nerd who works as a teacher during the day and studies history and Nordic languages on the side. I have a small makerspace at home where my 3D printers hum along daily. As an arts and crafts teacher, I make a lot of different things day-to-day and always try to stay creative. I've DM'ed for a few years, but got a bit burned out on it, so we'll see if I run a game again sometime in the future. Right now, I'd really just love to be a player if anyone needs one. I'm 34M in Bournemouth UK and over the last 5 years I've run a multi year 5e campaign as DM and am now running another with 5.5e, me and my players only get to play on Fridays or Saturdays that work for all of us which can be a struggle sometimes but I need more dice rolling in my life! I'm up for anything, silly, serious or a mix and enjoy both combat and roleplay and would love to have both but am fine if the game leans more heavily on either. I work nights and stick to this routine for days off so would ideally play in the evenings in the UK or any time in the US/Canada. Full disclosure my work is shift based but in a fixed pattern so I know my availability way in advance and the niche shifts I work means I get plenty of days off (I work 7 in 17 days, 3 on 5 off followed by 4 on 5 off). To fix that, i'm looking for stuff i haven't played before. i'm particularly interested in Shadowdark and other OSR games, right now, and also a cool cyberpunk game (the setting, though i will totally also try Cyberpunk, the RPG). i have a lot of experience playing all kinds of systems, but mostly DnD, Pathfinder 2e, and PbtA games. i have a lot of time on my hands, particularly on weekday mornings (CET). i'm not unwilling to DM, but i really only have experience with prepared campaigns, so far, so i'm still mostly a beginner.

Hey I just joined here and I'm looking for some DnD game in ruleset of 5e 2014 version, preferably more long term thing. Important for me that group is 18+ and do I need to add LGBT+ friendly? We are all people in the end and on top of that, when we are in RP I talk to you trough my character to you trough yours. I'm not feeling that comfortable with roleplaying in VC that's why I prefer text based games, it just feels more safe and comfortable for me. In terms of my experience. There is not much to it, most of games I joined ended rather quickly, be it because other people stopped coming without saying anything, DM just poofed out of existance. As far as I can remember I quitted 1 game, mostly because it was just too much for me, can tell more in private I see no reason to say more here. So, yeah... I’ve been gaming a long time. By 15 (in 1995) I was a Games Rep, running demos at conventions. I love TTRPGs, whether player or GM. I just want a table that actually plays. System-wise, I like indie and old-school games, with enough crunch that every character and build feels mechanically unique and satisfying. That said, I’ll play narrative systems too. I care less about the label and more about whether the game does what it claims it does. Tone-wise, I think the best games have a healthy mix of insane hilarity, fantastical impossibility, and the horrors of reality. Just enough to make it feel real before it gets unreal. If it’s all comedy, it’s weightless. If it’s all grim, it’s depressing. I want the mix, on purpose. I’m a professional fiction writer with decades of experience. At the table, this means good improvisation skills and idea generation, as well as a good sense of story hooks and structure. If you’re creative and you communicate, we’ll get on great!
