I am looking for 5.5e (or 5 & 5.5e mix) long term campaign to join! I am rather new to DnD, but consider myself an Intermediate-level player, though do sometimes need some help, so i hope that is okay! I have been playing for just over 10 months now! I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

I have played D&D and other TTRPGs on and off since '79, when I started with the Basic Set and module B1 (not The Keep on the Borderlands - that is B2 - B1 was a dungeon crawl with a Gelatinous Cube)! I'm a Gen-X & I like a good mix of RP (includiing intrigue!), creative problem solving, and combat. I actually started as a DM, and then shifted to spending more time as a player, running my own games intermittently. I am currently into the 2024 edition rules for 5e (except that I much prefer the 2014 DMG). I am also interested in exploring new TTRPGs. I have tried a variety of older systems, including Gamma World, Paladium, CoC (one-shots!), Rolemaster, VTM (not really my thing), Werewolf and others. I used to own several Traveller books, but only got so far as creating star systems, planets, aliens and ships - never having launched an actual game or campaign. I would love to try a space TTRPG at some point. I am most familiar with AD&D, 2e, and 5e. My exposure to 3e was through playing Neverwinter Nights, but it seemed pretty solid! I am currently working on building my own 5e homebrew campaign in Foundry VTT. In the meantime I would love to meet some new people and play some more! IMPORTANT: Also, I recently decided to boycott Discord due to their use of invasive AI to profile its users. I am against AI profiling. I am however, now on Stoat, which is very much like how Discord used to be before it added live video.

Traps of varying forms and puzzles that can be completed through wit, magic or brute force. Villains have goals and could be persuaded through clever role-play or monologue as they attempt to complete their own agenda. NPC's have a variation of voices and personality traits who also have their own dreams, hopes and wishes. Any player can progress any of these virtues or help another player to do so.

I'm Daniel, a 28yo dude looking to play either online or in person in the Minden, Nevada area. Can play pretty much any time on Wednesdays, preferably every other week. Looking for group and DM to play with that meets consistantly for a long term game. Experience: Been playing D&D on and off since maybe 2016, and have DM'd several games, though I'm looking to just be a player. Most of my experience is with 3.5e, though I'm farely familiar with 5e and have played a few one shots. I've also played Pathfinder 1e. Note that I haven't played anything in a few years now, so I may be a little rusty. I'm mostly looking to play D&D5e with some 2024 content, as I quite like some of the stuff they've done with the races, classes, and backgrounds. I don't know that I want to play a module. I'd rather play in a homebrew game, whether set in the Forgotten Realms or a similar setting. Class/Race Preferences: I love Warlocks and Necromancers first and foremost. Other classes I enjoy are Rogue, Paladin, and Critical Role's Blood Hunter, as well as Druids. As for races, I love Tieflings, Aasimar, Drow, but am also down to play a simple human from time to time if it fits the character I wanna make. At the moment I've got an idea for Chthonic Tiefling GOOlock that I'm itching to play. Role Play/Combat: My favorite games I've been in were pretty heavy in RP and made me feel an emotional connection to the player characters. At the same time, I do enjoy combat and enjoy the power fantasy of playing strong characters (though I'm also very into making an aesthetically/thematically pleasing character that may not be as strong as they could be). When it comes to combat, I don't like games where every combat encounter is Dark Souls the TTRPG. I don't mind a challenging encounter that makes me think tactically, or even the occasional encounter that isn't meant to be won, but when every encounter feels like the party is severely out-matched, that's when it stops being fun (I've been in one of those kinds of games). As I mentioned before, I do enjoy a good power fantasy, so balancing challenging encounters with some that are a breeze and make the players feel bad-ass, is the way to go for me. General Content: I like high and dark fantasy, horror, epic stories, emotional connections between characters. While I tend to lean toward serious characters and stories, comedic relief is more than welcome (and generally inevitable in my experience). Adult Content: I'm down for mature themes, including of the sexual variety with fade to black encounters. I'm fine with talk about specific acts, but I'm just not going to RP what happens under sheets. I'm sure that doesn't need to be said though. However, I'm also a fan of psychosexual body horror (i.e. the Alien franchise), especially when it comes to cosmic horror (like with my warlock idea).
