I'm an enthusiastic newbie ready to roll some dice on some crazy shenanigans! I am looking to join an enriching experience that will help me learn the ins and outs of D&D and TTRPGs in general, as well as community and good laughs. Would love to connect with players primarily in the PST timezone or Portland, OR if in person! I'm available most weeknights (Wednesday and Thursday's are booked) and weekends. While I'm new to a full campaign I have some familiarity in a few areas. Game play wise: - I've played Games like Baldurs Gate 3 and Citizen Sleeper (1 & 2) - Watching/listening to TTRPG shows (Critical Roll, D20, Stinky Dragon) - Played an adventure in college called "Deathfest" (50 lvl 1 adventurers vs 1 lvl 50 monster) Role Playing: - Some background with improv and stand-up so I'm happy to get into character I do have a character that I have been creating that I would love to bring into a campaign (if applicable) Happy to work with a GM to tool this character a little better, or to make a character that suits the needs of the crew and campaign Professor Corin Zanzibar - lvl 1 Rogue (aiming to level up as a Theif subclass) / Scribe Background / High Elf Blacklisted Archaeologist and Treasure Hunter who was fired from his teaching position when he was framed for stealing ancient artifacts, accused by a competitive colleague. Coincidently, he uncovered letters from his late father with cyphers embedded within the pages. Now on a mission to read the hidden message in his father's letters, he has lately spent his recent days sneaking through sorcerer's libraries, and frequenting the local tavern, drowning his sorrows and curios in strong tea and thick books. Professor Zanzibar is an older gentlemen who's quite rough around the edges, yet inquisitive, methodecal, and contemplative. While he has few words, he's not afraid to piss anyone off with an opinion. Close friends may know him well enough to take his tactlessness with a grain of salt, or dismiss his grouchy behaviour with hugs he didn't ask for. He hates those, but he won't fight back.
