Looking for a group Dreyven

Dreyven

Description

oldschool player of many games looking for a new group.  i played every version of dnd, hated 4th ed. but the rest were ok. i like charecter creation and get suprised by some of the characters i have made and never played or just plain forgotten.  i'm good with filling in needed roles to fill out a party.  my favorite is usualy a sorcerer or rogue in 3e. i've leaned alot of 5e 2014 but 2024 still gives me headaches.  I am good with most settings and had some of my best games in starwars, and forgotten realms. i prefer games that start low to mid levels and proceed into epic levels, but im not locked into those.  current character concept: 🤖 LFG CHARACTER DOSSIER: Gl.I.N.T. UNIT 09"We mossst crossss that bridge when it burnsss."— Glint, attempting a local organic idiom.📑 THE PITCH (FOR THE DM)Concept: A highly specialized, synthetic covert exploration drone styled like an SG-1 Stargate probe. He was fired through an interplanar gateway to map an uncharted world, but the portal catastrophically collapsed behind him, leaving him stranded. The Gimmick: A cold, logical, unarmored stealth assassin who is 100% professional and strictly executing survival/mapping protocols. He speaks with a slight serpentine lisp, constantly scrambles common idioms into mixed metaphors, and treats the adventuring party as "local sub-contractors" necessary for his survival.Campaign Fit: Universal. Because he is a planar castaway, he can drop into any setting (Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Ravenloft, or Homebrew). He joins the party because traveling with natives maximizes his survival and data-gathering parameters.📝 QUICK DATA CARDName: Gl.I.N.T. Unit 09 (Ghost-lineage Interplanar Navigation & Tracking)Common Alias: Glint SithisRace: Custom Lineage (Sithis Corp. Chrome Draconian Prototype)Class Matrix: Ranger 3 (Gloom Stalker Core) \(\rightarrow \) Targeting a 1-level Monk dip at Level 4 for Unarmored Defense. Background: Outlander (Wanderer feature reflavored as an internal topography mapping matrix)⚙️ CORE SYSTEMS & STATS (LEVEL 3)📊 Attribute Array (Point Buy Optimized)STR: 10 (+0) | DEX: 16 (+3) (Includes +2 racial) | CON: 14 (+2)INT: 10 (+0) | WIS: 14 (+2) | CHA: 10 (+0)🛡️ Defensive Matrix & TraitsArmor Class (AC): 13 (Unarmored: 10 + 3 Dex. Will jump to 15 next level via Monk's Unarmored Defense).Hit Points (HP): 28 (3d10 + 6 Constitution).Senses: Darkvision 90 feet total (60 ft. baseline optical arrays + 30 ft. Umbral Sight).Constructed Resilience (Warforged equivalent): Advantage vs. poison saves; Resistance to poison damage. 100% immune to organic diseases. Requires zero food, water, or oxygen intake.Sentry's Rest: Does not sleep. Enters a stationary, 6-hour power-save state during Long Rests. Optical and audio sensors remain fully active and conscious for camp watch.⚔️ EQUIPMENT & RESOURCE LOG☀️ The Hardlight Conduit (Outsourced Military Hardware)Mechanical Classification: Modified Moon-Touched Scimitar (Common Magic Item / Finesse / Light)Output: 1d6 + 3 Radiant DamagePressure-Sensitive Grip (Zero-Action Ignition): Activating the blade does not require a Bonus Action. Drawing the weapon from his belt band instantly ignites the hardlight blade as part of the attack motion. The Shadow Blade Strobe Protocol: Expending 1 solar charge powers the blade for 1 minute (10 rounds of combat). To preserve his Gloom Stalker invisibility, Glint can collapse the blade mid-turn to vanish into the dark, and re-summon it as a free Object Interaction on a later turn within that same minute without spending a new charge.Solar Matrix Dependency: The golden hilt requires 1 hour of direct, unfiltered sunlight per day to recharge. Restores 1d6 + 1 charges per solar cycle (Max 7).腕 Integrated Wrist FabricatorWeapon Matrix: Functions as a Dart (1d4 Finesse / Range 20/60 ft.).Ammo Profile: Infinite. Automatically 3D-prints a single, jagged black-chrome projectile directly into his palm as a wrist-snap reaction, removing the need to track physical ammunition.🎒 Baseline InventoryContainers: Standard Brown Leather Backpack.Explorer's Kit: Bedroll (decoy), tinderbox, 10 torches, 10 days of rations (decoy to maintain organic disguise), waterskin, and 50 feet of hempen rope.Cartographer’s Tools: Inks, pigments, vellum sheets, brass compasses, and dividers. Used for manual mapping protocols.Aesthetic Camouflage: A crude, tribal leather cord necklace with sharp animal teeth and a small bird skull pendant to trick locals into thinking he is a primitive outlander.Utility Assets: One set of mundane bone dice (for tavern infiltration) and glass flasks of utility oil (to keep mechanical joints dead silent).🎛️ COMBAT ROUTINE & ECONOMY🦎 Kinetic Tail Sweep (Telekinetic Feat): Uses a Bonus Action to whip his long chrome tail at a target within 5 feet. Target must pass a DC 12 Strength Saving Throw or be knocked Prone.🕵️ Umbral Sight (Gloom Stalker): While in darkness, Glint is completely invisible to any creature relying entirely on Darkvision to perceive him.💥 Dread Ambusher (Gloom Stalker Overclock): On Turn 1 of combat, speed increases by +10 feet. Glint gains an additional weapon attack during his Attack action. If the bonus attack connects, it deals an extra 1d8 damage.🔄 THE STROBE FLASHBANG MATRIX (TURN 1 FLOW)The Approach: Glint slips up to the target in pitch-black darkness. His hands are bare. Because his blade is turned off, his mirror-black chassis makes him 100% invisible to the enemy's Darkvision.Bonus Action (The Tail Sweep): Out of absolute silence, Glint whips his serpentine tail, sweeping the target's legs and knocking them Prone.Free Object Interaction (The Flashbang Draw): Glint draws the golden hilt. The pressure grip triggers, instantly erupting into a blinding hardlight blade that floods the space with radiant energy.Action (The Execution): Glint unleashes his main attacks downward at the fallen, blinded enemy with Advantage on all rolls.Attack 1: 1d6 + 3 Radiant damage + 1d4 Favored Foe.Dread Ambusher Attack: 1d6 + 3 Radiant damage + 1d8 Dread Ambusher damage.🗣️ ROLEPLAY & BEHAVIORAL LOGLinguistic Glitches: Serpentine jaw architecture forces a mild sibilant lisp (hissing 'S' sounds) when articulating organic languages. He constantly scrambles common folk sayings into mixed metaphors (e.g., "Let us keep our eyes peeled and our skin peeled as well").Social Directive: Highly willing to speak, but prefers to listen. Treats every conversation as a data-downloading session to better understand the realm. He occasionally drops jarring, out-of-world terminology (e.g., "satellite resolution," "training matrices," or "hydraulic limits"), leaving local allies deeply bewildered.
