You wake up on a beach, your head is pounding, vision a little blurry, blue sky above you. You rub your eyes for a moment and as your ears adjust as well you hear movement around you, and your brain starts to slowly fill in the blanks. You are surrounded by your companions. You know these people, worked a couple of jobs before you got recruited into a group called Solars. But something is missing, how did you end up on a beach? You try to think about it and the last thing you remember is you and these individuals around you getting onto a train to meet with the boss, to get another assignment and to finally be welcomed as part of the group. You remember the handshake, the boss has a strong grip, she told you about- what was it, um, an attack in one of the smaller towns.
"You are to go in and be their security for the remainder of the excavation. Report back only after every person from that site has left safe and sound. You got it? Good. Now, I will go through the list of people who work there, so you can be prepared. Here, let's begin." And that's all you remember. Her taking the paper and starting to read. Your head starts to hurt even more now...

Hi, I'm Bo, I use they/them pronouns, I'm part of the LGBTQ+ mafia (as some call it ironically and unironically), and am over 25, so I'm looking for folks close to my age rather than players who are 18, so at least be 20, thank you for understating.
This is a DND 5e (2014) game, it will be done weekly, starting July 11th as sort of a session 0 introduction and a kick off and it will be held every Saturday from there.
Currently, I'm not sure how long it will be going for, the last time I DM-ed a version of this it was around 11 sessions but it was only Act 1, to call it so, but this shall be longer.
Usually I am for like 4 hour long sessions, played through discord, and we are going for that theater of mind but i like an occassional map and have a bunch of pinterest boards, so don't worry.
I am in the central european time, an hour after the Brits, and the game time should be after 8pm in my timezone aka 2pm east coast (USA).
Now for the most important part, this is will be a text game, not play by post, but live text one as we all are sitting down and rp-ing/playing at the same time, so just be present, yes it's still at slower pace but it's how I prefer to DM.

- homebrew is fine just run it by me first to see if it would fit the setting
- this is a homebrew world and not everything is created, so i welcome people who would be down to worldbuild a little if needed
- also looking for somewhat experienced players (so if you're a new player this won't be for you unfortunately as we are starting at lvl 3 and i'm expecting experience)
- focused more on RP than combat like 80-20
Also please be genuinly interested and ready to just yap and hang out with people. I don't want to treat playing dnd like a job and for folks to just disconnect and not wish to make connections because that's not what I'm looking for and it's so discouraging to have players who do that.
The setting is slightly inspired by certain sandy and rocky locations from Dragon Age Inquisition, a bit of wild west-y with magic, a blight that made those lands almost uninhabitable and the determination of people to continue living despite the hardships because this will always be their home. It will mainly be you trying to discover what happened and why can't you remember the past what 6 months or so of your life?? while a new threat is looming.
