Murder at the Art Gallery; A rules light, rp heavy, V5 chronicle. Wednesdays at 7pm EST, over Discord. Intro: Search for evidence, interview npcs, and keep track of clues; discover secrets, while desperately trying not to reveal your own… There's been a murder at the art gallery. This game will be a narrative focused murder mystery with a slight twist; the culprit hasn't been chosen yet, and it could be you! Before I get on with the rest of the post, there are two things I want to make clear: 1. This is my first experience with vtm, and with fullrunning a ttprg. Though I'd like to think I have a good idea of the rules, and I have experience running online roleplays, I may make some mistakes. I just ask for patience, and for you to not expect a 100% rules accurate game- I plan on having it be rules light for a reason. 2. This game will not involve or allow the use of generative AI in any way. I will not be using it (for anything, ever), and I will not accept characters that were created by it to any degree- whether it was used for images or to write backstories, or anything else. This is non-negotiable. 3. Oops there's a third thing; no bigots allowed!  At all. 😁 - Setting Background and Plot Overview: Lakefield Art Gallery has flourished in the past decade, as both a business…and a Kindred safe haven. Since the last Prince’s unstable rule came to an end, the gallery has come to be considered one of the safest places for Kindred in the area, even for those who reject Camarilla rule... Which is why the premises being host to a potential murder came as such a shock. Fortunately, there is no evidence of Hunter- or other mortal- interference; Quite unfortunately, however, is the fact that means it was an inside job.... As one of the four least likely suspects, you have been tasked by the Prince to investigate the matter; and report directly to him once you get to the bottom of it. …Though, is he right to trust you? Chronicle Details: This game will be story heavy, with roleplay- both with pcs and npcs- being particularly important.  It will also be slightly video-game like, with character profiles that update as you learn more. Though I will strongly encourage you to take your own notes as well, since the only evidence I'll be writing down for you is physical clues and alibis. Your choices and interactions will have a strong impact. Now onto the crime, I can't say much about it…for obvious reasons, but also because it hasn't been fully planned out yet.  Which is due to one point I'd like to clarify; I plan to randomize the culprit from a list of both npcs and pcs. If you absolutely don't want your character to be the culprit, feel free to let me know, and I'll remove them as a suspect- though please do so privately, to help keep some of the suspense. Session Zero will be this upcoming Wednesday (3/25), at 7pm EST. We will go over characters, which I'll try my best to help with if needed, and I'll decide who the murderer is 😈. (P.S half this post was written while sleep-deprived, so if anything is a little messy, that's why. I promise anything else written for this- at least stuff you'll see- will be better put together…mostly.)

The only thing I can promise is that I'll never use generative AI for my games, ever.
