This is not Phandelver and Below as written, this is a unique spin on the adventure adding elements of Helianas and A House Divided.
The goal of this combination will be to give new players the opportunity to learn the game in a simple new player friendly semi-linear adventure(part1), while also allowing more experienced players to dive in and learn/experience the optional heliana harvesting, crafting, and cooking mechanics. Then, after you've got some experience under your belt and the party is more comfortable together, dive into a more complicated, in-depth, and non linear second adventure(part2.) That grants far more freedom. And then after that, returning to where it began and concluding the adventure with part 3.
Why is this adventure on the cheaper end? Because although I have run lost mines, and a house divided before. This will be the first time running them as 1, as well as the shattered obelisk conclusion. The session cost is merely to cover the campaigns expenses.
What to Expect from part 1: Journey from the city of Neverwinter through treacherous wilderness, explore mysterious caves, and delve into ancient ruins. Your choices will shape the fate of Phandalin as you encounter colourful characters, battle fearsome monsters, and perhaps even claim a lost mine of legendary proportions!
What to expect from part 2: Your party of adventurers investigate an old manor house that has been abandoned for the last twenty years following the sudden and mysterious disappearance of its occupants. Within the grounds of the old estate, however, their exploration begins to take a turn. The party will quickly realize that something horrible happened in this place and the missing members of the family are not gone, nor have they forgotten their sins against each other.
What to Expect from part 3: come face to face with what has been lurking behind the scenes since the beginning.
Content Warning: This campaign contains some events or subject matter which may be uncomfortable for some players. it includes combat encounters which depict sequences of violence. Additionally, the adventure includes certain events which portray body horror, cannibalism, death, familial and emotional abuse, supernatural horror, human experimentation, murder, kidnapping, mind control, ghostly possession, torture, and large spiders.
The first and third parts of this campaign will consist of an even mix of combat, roleplay, and puzzles while the second part will include tactical combat and unique encounters, The primary focus of this part will be roleplay. will respond accordingly To everything you do. Every decision will matter.
You will be given access to a discord channel to talk amongst players, bounce ideas, and whatever else you wish to talk about with your party.
Characters will begin at Level 1 and should be created using D&D Beyond with the 2024 ruleset. Once finalized, I will recreate your characters in Foundry VTT using their fully integrated modules before play begins to ensure no issues. Ability scores by default will be either point buy or standard array. If all players want a more heroic campaign, we can instead roll for stats together during session 0 using a custom array.
All official D&D 5e content published by Wizards of the Coast (2024 Rules) is permitted. I am completely open to 3rd party, I own dozens of these books on DnD Beyond and Foundry, however any of these character options must be approved first. If you're a newer player I highly recommend you stick to official sources, but if you feel the official options aren’t your cup of tea, I will gladly work with you to find something else you may enjoy.
