Homebrew

Roleplay focused
Welcome, greed and glory, to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader!
Where/When π:
Location (IRL) -Β Ealing, North-West London, U.K (we expect no costs for this campaign, as we currently have one of the players as a host, but we may have to meet sometimes at a local pub - in which case one is expected to order at least one drink)
Times - Wednesdays, 6pm-10pm
Starting - Late May / Early June
The Setting π :
Enter a galaxy of strife and chaos in this retro-futuristic universe of aliens, space-wizards, and even a little bit of science-fiction! The galaxy of the 41st millennium is a space-opera setting rife with woe and peril, where humanity languishes under an imperium of lies, greed, prejudice, and lunacy - its all-consuming ambition only held in check by countless enemies: Heretics from within; Xenos from without; and Daemons from beyond, each of them more brutal and ruthless than the last! Forget the promises of advanced technologies and the betterment of mankind, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war!
The Campaign π© :
Venture into a long-running sand-box campaign where your objectives will be clear, but their order and your approach entirely your own! You will have the opportunity to become a valiant saviour, a glorious warrior, or a ruthless tyrant! Gather your allies about you - from faithful servants of the imperium, through disillusioned masses seeking a new master, to the baleful Xenos - the aliens who exist ever at the periphery of mankind's domain upon the stars! If you are so bold, perhaps you'll even venture to play as the alien yourself!
Experience π€ :
None! Any and all levels of familiarity with the system and/or the setting completely welcome! Session 0 will cover character creation, base rules, and a lore primer!
Disclaimer β:
The universe of Warhammer 40,000 is one riddled with serious themes that may make some players uncomfortable - racism; sexism; class struggle; religious persecution; war; whatever character you create, expect them to be flung into life-and-death situations where the morality of decisions becomes meaningless. While I believe this is what makes the Warhammer 40,000 universe and experience much more immersive, nuanced, and fascinating than many other space-themed universes, I understand that not all players may find these themes comfortable. You are thus welcome to discuss with myself - before, after, or during a session - if any part of the story or adventure is making you uncomfortable, and I will do my utmost to accommodate such that we can all enjoy the game together!
We've already got at least 3 players signed up for this campaign, but we're happy to welcome more! We hope to see you there, and remember - The emperor is watching! ποΈ ποΈ
