How now and well met! My name is Rando, and I have been playing TTRPGs for a very, very, very, long time. Finding myself now with an almost completely open schedule, I am compelled to fill up all this free time playing in campaigns. TTRPG campaigns. More and more campaigns... ALL the campaigns! Yes, yes -- I must play them... Ahem. Apologies... I am looking for a campaign (or five) to feed my insatiable hunger join a lively, well-rounded, and sane group of players who like to roleplay, share laughs, make memories, and tell stories collaboratively. New campaign, ongoing campaign, homebrew campaign, published campaign: it does not matter. Whether it is a newly created spot or just subbing in -- new character, fill-in character, NPC, former player's character: I will join your table with glee and vigor. (note: vigor is extra) I enjoy all three pillars of TTRPGS (combat, roleplay, exploration) and appreciate when there is a healthy balance among them. I am partial to roleplaying, however, as I feel it is the one element you cannot find in other gaming formats. In the TTRPG Rock, Paper, Scissors game that takes place in the deep and cloistered recesses of my mind: ROC > RAI > RAW. I am open to learning and trying new systems. I am a very easy-going and jocular sort, prone to tomfoolery betimes, but know full well when to wear the frowny mask versus the smiley one. A former teacher, I am very newbie friendly (to both players and GMs), and am gooder than most with the word use-ing for to tell things and show other things and for the explaining. I write creatively ever and anon when the humour stirs. My favorite color is pizza.

I have an absolute ton of time on my hands now and I'd like to step back into TTRPG's! I'd like to find a very old-fashioned group if possible, one a lot more into the story and roleplaying of their characters, blended well with the actual playing of the game. Finding group dynamics are a lot of fun and I enjoy writing a lot about the characters I play, as well as in general. Would love a group that is heavily invested in the adventure and what everyone else's goals are. Wizards and casters are obviously my bread and butter, so I almost always play some form of them. Huge on puzzles, riddles and mysteries, stuff that really makes scholarly-characters tick. I also care a lot about the moment-to-moment interactions and immersion, how magic works and is written means a lot to me. Hi, I'm currently looking for a party to join to play ONLINE (or in person if you're based around Copenhagen). I would really prefer to play in English. It can be an existing party I can join or we can form one from scratches (the only limitation is that I can't be DM so we will need one if we form a brand new party). I don't have preferences about the campaign setting itself and it doesn't have to be roleplay heavy. It can be a brand new campaign or a campaign I can join in if it's not too late. I don't have age preferences but it would be less weird if we're mostly around 30 years old. I'm a beginner, I just completed 1 campaign set in the Forgotten Realms where I played as a Paladin under 5th Edition rules (since my experience is very limited, I guess it won't make that much of a difference to use 5.5 Edition if you prefer that). I'd like to join a different group since we have too many organizational issues with my current group and we don't play very often and games proceed too slowly due to some players who just troll and disrupt the game. Ideally, I'd like to find other beginners or people who have the patience to play with beginners and a DM who will keep trolls in check and who can keep a good game flow. The only things I ask/expect are: - Players who respect plans and other players' time. If we plan a session, you have to show up and not be prone to cancelling easily; if you have issues and can't show up, you should communicate well in advance; if you have change of plans, you should keep others posted in a timely manner. - No trolls. Laughs and playing around are fun but when nonsensical chaos is too out of control and slows down a session, that's not fun. - Respectful players. No personal insults, no bullying. - No politic talks during games. - No constant sexual jokes or roleplaying (a problem I have with my current group). - No modern sensitivites. We should not be afraid that somebody could get triggered by innocent, generalized jokes or if we misgender somebody who identify as whatever. I work on a non-fixed schedule but I am always off on Tuesday and Thursday so I'm available on: + Tuesdays until 5 PM (CET). + Thursdays any time. + Other days and times to decide on a week-to-week basis. I'm game for playing multiple times per week if we wish so and if it's compatible with everybody's plans. I think that's all. Hope to find like minded players to start a new adventure.

Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have no experience in Shadowdark or Mothership, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror genre. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. As for how I like to play, I'm more of a team player, focusing often on supporting everyone else. I love the roleplay aspects of the game, as I've experienced RP being very fun before and absolute the most memorable part of the experience. I also love rolling dice however, so a good balance of RP and combat would be awesome. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information (keeping notes) and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come in with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

My personal DM style is more focused on roleplay, story, atmosphere, and fun character moments rather than strict rules or overly complicated combat. She's a bit unusual but I think she could be really fun at the table, especially for roleplay and party dynamics. Happy to answer any questions! The Concept Sparkflower Moonbeam is a Pixie Artillerist Artificer. She is 153 years old, she was exiled from the Seelie Court about sixty years ago, and she has spent every day since working on a very specific and very complicated revenge. She presents to the world as Darkbane the Inevitable, a brooding teenage Tiefling in an Oni mask and a structured corset who carries a staff that crackles with dark energy and speaks as little as possible. Darkbane has panic attacks, doesn't like being touched, and has a journal of extremely bad poetry. She is clearly a very important dark lord. She is a puppet. Sparkflower has been operating her from invisible altitude since level 2. The party won't know this; that's the long con I'd love to play out across the campaign. Who She Is Sparkflower is autistic by Fae standards, which is to say she processes the world systematically, takes things literally, and cannot perform the elaborate social theatre the Seelie Court runs on. She was always wrong for the Wild the way a key is wrong for a lock it was never cut to fit. When she was 91 the Court found her secret workshop: iron machines, mechanical curiosities, and journals documenting her honest inner life in exhaustive detail. The machines were a minor transgression. The journals were read aloud to the assembled Court over six weeks as entertainment. Her sincere, unironic observations about Fae society struck them as genuinely hilarious. She was escorted out while the Court was already discussing something else. As she crossed the threshold someone called after her: "Perhaps you're the great Inevitable One, little Sparkflower. Perhaps the nursery rhyme is about you." She stopped. Looked at the implication. Kept walking. There is an ancient pixie nursery rhyme (sung to children as a warning) about a disgraced Fae from the lowest caste who rises to humiliate the High Court and leave an eternal mark on the Wild. Sparkflower has spent sixty years engineering its fulfilment one careful step at a time. Not because she is a chosen one. Because the rhyme is a specification and she is an engineer and she has had sixty years and a grudge. Her long-term goal is to walk into the Seelie Court as Darkbane the Inevitable, force the Queen to publicly acknowledge her, deploy an artifact she has been building since the night of her exile, and leave. After that she expects to be assassinated. She has made arrangements. She wins by being exactly what they said was broken. The Puppet — Why It's Fun Darkbane is built across the campaign. She starts as wire and silk operated by Sparkflower's clockwork familiar from the inside, convincing at social distance in a dim tavern and not much more. She develops across the campaign as Sparkflower's Artificer skills improve, gaining more natural movement, better facial expressions, and more physical capability. By the end of the campaign the puppet becomes Mechanicia, a fully autonomous clockwork golem who doesn't need an operator anymore. The progression is a series of crafting quests, each one a campaign beat. A friend helped me put together a rough statblock based on a Shield Guardian and a Clockwork Swashbuckler; it's available to discuss if you'd like to look at it, though honestly I doubt we'll reach level 14 in real life. I think the moment the party realises they've been travelling with a puppet the whole time is one of those scenes that becomes a table legend. I'd love to play toward that. At the Table Sparkflower is a support and roleplay character first. She keeps the party alive: healing items, buffing the fighter, keeping concentration spells up, using Flash of Genius to save someone from a terrible roll at exactly the right moment. She is emotionally invested in the party despite her best efforts not to be, which is where most of the RP comes from. Darkbane meanwhile is doing community theatre in a puppet suit. The gap between who Sparkflower actually is and who Darkbane appears to be is where I want to live. I have a full background document if you'd like more detail on her history, personality, and the Seelie Court backstory. I also have the Mechanicia statblock and a few notes on the DM conversations I'd want to have before session one; nothing dramatic, mostly quality-of-life stuff about playing a Tiny creature in a Medium world. These are the clans that I would be most interested in playing. I like how unique they all are and the fact that they each, despite having some similarities, would play completely differently. I like playing characters that are morally grey but that strive to be better in a world of darkness and inherent violence. As for the Fallen I'd play? The Factions I enjoy the most are the Faustian and the Reconciler. The House I enjoy the most are the Slayers, the Angels of Death. The host body would likely be someone on the fringes of society, someone who knew suffering and so attracted one who has similarly despaired. The Fallen would likely be a melancholic one wallowing in darkness and righteous anger, but still wanting to do better and having an insatiable drive to fight against the injustices that have become increasingly common across Creation. What I Am Looking For: I am primarily looking for a World of Darkness Chronicle and group to join! I am hoping for a game with depth and lots of lore, with a Storyteller that is as serious about their Chronicle as I would be for my character! This can be in-person in NYC, or online! The ONLY caveat regarding online play is that I would have to use either Demiplane or Roll20 since that is where I purchased the books that I have listed above! My character: Female Tabaxi Rogue / Artificer, Chaotic Good, Level 7: Arcane Trickster 3 / Battle Smith 4. Built in D&D Beyond with a full character sheet. She is queerplatonic, so no ERP. Her concept is designed around her Level 7 features, so I’m looking for a campaign where starting at Level 7 is possible. She uses customized equipment and a few flavourful homebrew elements, built to stay within reasonable Level 7 balance rather than gain extra power. I’m not looking to downgrade/rebuild her, but I’m open to reasonable DM review before joining. Milestone progression preferred. Looking for: D&D 5e 2014 preferred, but 2024-compatible is fine if Artificer, Firearms, and expanded/legacy options are allowed. I don't have any preference when it comes to DM or Player, but I tend to gravitate towards DMing. I want to find people with similar playstyles, therefor roleplayers, collaborative storytellers, and campaigns with a story and character first mindset have my preference.
