Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information (keeping notes) and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come in with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

I have an absolute ton of time on my hands now and I'd like to step back into TTRPG's! I'd like to find a very old-fashioned group if possible, one a lot more into the story and roleplaying of their characters, blended well with the actual playing of the game. Finding group dynamics are a lot of fun and I enjoy writing a lot about the characters I play, as well as in general. Would love a group that is heavily invested in the adventure and what everyone else's goals are. Wizards and casters are obviously my bread and butter, so I almost always play some form of them. Huge on puzzles, riddles and mysteries, stuff that really makes scholarly-characters tick. I also care a lot about the moment-to-moment interactions and immersion, how magic works and is written means a lot to me. I love adventures of all themes, whether dark, serious or somewhat light-hearted. Availability: Any time really! Am my own boss, so I can flex to whatever! Hi, I'm currently looking for a party to join to play ONLINE (or in person if you're based around Copenhagen). I would really prefer to play in English. It can be an existing party I can join or we can form one from scratches (the only limitation is that I can't be DM so we will need one if we form a brand new party). I don't have preferences about the campaign setting itself and it doesn't have to be roleplay heavy. It can be a brand new campaign or a campaign I can join in if it's not too late. I don't have age preferences but it would be less weird if we're mostly around 30 years old. I'm a beginner, I just completed 1 campaign set in the Forgotten Realms where I played as a Paladin under 5th Edition rules (since my experience is very limited, I guess it won't make that much of a difference to use 5.5 Edition if you prefer that). I'd like to join a different group since we have too many organizational issues with my current group and we don't play very often and games proceed too slowly due to some players who just troll and disrupt the game. Ideally, I'd like to find other beginners or people who have the patience to play with beginners and a DM who will keep trolls in check and who can keep a good game flow. The only things I ask/expect are: - Players who respect plans and other players' time. If we plan a session, you have to show up and not be prone to cancelling easily; if you have issues and can't show up, you should communicate well in advance; if you have change of plans, you should keep others posted in a timely manner. - No trolls. Laughs and playing around are fun but when nonsensical chaos is too out of control and slows down a session, that's not fun. - Respectful players. No personal insults, no bullying. - No politic talks during games. - No constant sexual jokes or roleplaying (a problem I have with my current group). - No modern sensitivites. We should not be afraid that somebody could get triggered by innocent, generalized jokes or if we misgender somebody who identify as whatever. I work on a non-fixed schedule but I am always off on Tuesday and Thursday so I'm available on: + Tuesdays until 5 PM (CET). + Thursdays any time. + Other days and times to decide on a week-to-week basis. I'm game for playing multiple times per week if we wish so and if it's compatible with everybody's plans. I think that's all. Hope to find like minded players to start a new adventure.

I like dark, dramatic stories with emotional weight, especially when characters are forced into difficult situations where the “right” choice is still morally complicated. **What I’m Not Looking For:** I’m less interested in darkness that exists only for shock value. We are a beginner-friendly D&D Discord community with over 50 members, originally started as a small helping/tutorial server for new players who wanted to get into D&D without having to pay for anything. The server is still very welcoming to beginners, but experienced players are also invited, especially if you enjoy roleplay, storytelling, helping newer players learn the game, or even running your own sessions. At the moment, we have a core group of active members, with people playing or interacting almost daily. We currently run two main types of games: 1. Adventurers Guild / West Marches-inspired one-shots This is our open-table system. I created an Adventurers Guild that posts bounties, missions, and one-shot adventures. Players can join when they are available, without needing to commit to a long campaign from the start. These games mostly use D&D 5e 2024 rules, but 2014 content and homebrew may also be allowed, depending on the DM. 2. Classic homebrew campaigns Other members can also become DMs, post their own campaign ideas, gather 4–6 players, and run their own homebrew campaign in their own channel. This can be in our shared universe or in a completely separate custom setting. My personal DM style is more focused on roleplay, story, atmosphere, and fun character moments rather than strict rules or overly complicated combat. I am very open to helping new players learn and giving people a relaxed space to try D&D. Most of my sessions are usually in the evening, around 19:00–20:00 until 23:00–00:00 GMT+2, but we also have people from different time zones, so other games may happen at different hours depending on the DM and group. I've been playing tabletop since 3rd edition D&D and I'm at the point in my life where I'd rather find one good group than keep starting over. Looking to be a player for once. Hello! I'm Laura. After years of thinking "oh, I'd love to try to play D&D", a few weeks ago I took the plunge and I bought myself the DMG, MM and PHB, and set up my very first campaign. So far, I've DMd 3 sessions and I've loved every second of it. I'm of course still very green, but I really enjoy D&D very much. This game is so addictive! I prefer role playing to combat, even though I really like combat too! I live in Paris, so a schedule that'd be great is one that allows me to play in the evening during the week (available after 19:00 GMT+2 on Thursday's and Fridays). I'm a super dedicated person, so I'll be very regular with my hours. I would love a weekly game, because I prefer to play in smaller time frames, but more regularly. I have a character that I would just love to flesh out and try my hand with: A bird-person ranger who comes from a poor family that hunted their own food and relied on periodic thievery to get by. Though I would love to use them, I'm open to creating/adapting a character to fit a setting or story. Hiya, I go by Fenris or Fen and am a TTRPG veteran of roundabout 26 years, having started in my early teens and been the forever GM for a number of years, before moving on to become a player. I recently finished a PF2E campaign with an international group and am looking forward to move on to new horizons more set in a bright and exciting future. I am flexible regarding the day, being available for evening session from 18:00 to 18:30 my time onwards during Mondays to Fridays and basically fully flexible when it comes to the weekends. Also let me be very frank because I keep getting messages about this: I AM NOT INTERESTED IN D&D! Playstyle I am a person who both enjoys engaging roleplaying, interactions between the characters and with the world at large. To me a good game has a healthy mix of both and ideally also mixes them. So I want to roll the dice when appropriate, but I'm a bit tired of hearing 'I roll to attack' and a simple 'you hit'. Why not make it 'I bring my sword to bear against the owlbear, parry it's right claw swiping for me while side-stepping and try to cut it across it's leg in retaliation'? This gives the GM much more to play without without having to wrack their brain how to make it an exciting moment for everyone. Same goes for RP: You can try to hide the need to roll something to see, whether you succeed or not, by describing it creatively. I could say 'I want to roll Diplomacy to convince the lizardman warrior, that we come in peace' or I could say 'Putting on an open, peaceful body language, showing he is not armed, <character name> speaks clearly and softly in a diplomatic tone "We mean no harm. Just want to talk."' To me RP and rules are not two separate sides of a medallion - they can work beautifully hand in hand to weave a story within a fair ruleset, that gives everyone equal chances. Hence I also play the character idea and role within the party. I don't min-max, I work to represent the character idea both in RP and in the build. What's the character idea of a stoic and stalwart defender worth, if it isn't backed up by a build optimized towards taking the brunt of the enemies attacks? How can I play a hot-shot pilot, if his confident and assured stance isn't backed up by great skill with piloting and tendancy towards pulling stunts and a few aces up his sleeves? Experience I've started out with one of the more complex games to play 26 years ago: Shadowrun. Very crunchy, figuring out rolls was an effort and more often than not forgoing too complex rules for the rule of cool. From there I moved on to a myriad of systems - both mainstream and not. To name a few: Legend of the Five Rings, King Arthur Pendragon, D&D 5E (2014), Stafinder 1E, Stars Without Number, Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K FFG (Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and Only War), Star Wars Edge of the Empire, The Dark Eye (DSA), A Song of Ice and Fire RPG, Pathfinder 2E and a quick dip into Fallout 2d20, as well as maybe some I can't even remember from the get-go right now. I've been on both sides of the table in those years, being both a GM and a player on- and offline. But I moved on from GMing for the most part, as I just don't have the capacity for additional responsibility in my life right now, besides showing up in time and having a good time with some fellow enjoyers of cooperative rules-based storytelling ;) Bio Let's start with the basic facts: 39 years old male (he/him) from Germany. I emphasize "free" because I am already in a paid DND campaign and can't afford another paid game at the moment, so I hope you understand! Games I'm Applying For: Vampire: The Masquerade V5, Dark Ages: Vampire, and Demon: The Fallen. (Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniv. would also be nice!) I have V5 on Demiplane. The rest I have the PDFs I purchased through DriveThruRPG. I am most familiar with Demon: The Fallen, but any of the WoD games I've listed here I'd happily play in! Experience with WoD: I have no experience with the tabletop games beyond watching online groups playing them, though I do have a few of the V5 books online via Demiplane (Corebook, Player's Guide, Chicago by Night), and the PDFs of others (Dark Ages: Vampire, Victorian Age: Vampire, Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniv, and Demon: The Fallen). The online chronicles I've seen are NY by Night, while I am still watching LA by Night and Ancestral Blood, so I do have fore-knowledge on how VtM games may flow, even if I don't have all the rules memorized! Beyond the tabletop I have played various video games (Redemption, Bloodlines, Bloodlines 2, Swansong, Blood Hunt, WtA: Earthblood), I have played through visual novels ( VTM NY visual novel trilogy), I have recently started some interactive novels (Parliament of Knives, The Book of Hungry Names), and have started some of the novels (Clan Novel Toreador, Dark Ages Clan Novel Nosferatu, Grail Covenant, Ashes and Angel Wings)! Experience with Tabletops: I have been a fan of tabletops, mainly DND, for a few years now via online groups and podcasts, most notably Critical Role. I am also a small-time fan of groups like McStabber Studios, MagiRPG, Legends of Avantris, and Dice Times. I know how TTRPGs flow and especially how to roleplay, as that is and always has been my favorite aspect of these games! I started my first ever DND campaign a few months ago, and have been enjoying it very much and have been learning about all the mechanics! As for WoD, I understand all the general rules of play having read through the books I have purchased on Demiplane or DriveThruRPG and I feel I have a decent grasp of them. All I am lacking is the actual experience, which I am hoping to soon rectify! What I Have to Offer As A Player: I am the kind of player who takes the game very seriously, in that I am a great note taker, I go deep into roleplaying, I like crafting original and layered backstories for my characters, and I like to see my character develop and evolve as a person (or as a Monster!) throughout the campaign, whether that is mentally, physically, and/or when it comes to their abilities. I am also a very open-minded and friendly person, not to sound immodest. I am very LGBTQ+ Friendly, being a member of that community myself, and so I am the least judgmental person I know! Again, not to sound immodest! I am also very punctual. IF I am able to meet at the appointed time, then I will always be on time or early no matter what! The Kind of Monster I'd Play: My favorite Cainite clans, in no particular order, are as follows: Lasombra, Nosferatu, Cappadocian/Hecata, Tremere, Brujah, Ravnos. These are the clans that I would be most interested in playing. I like how unique they all are and the fact that they each, despite having some similarities, would play completely differently. I like playing characters that are morally grey but that strive to be better in a world of darkness and inherent violence. As for the Fallen I'd play? The Factions I enjoy the most are the Faustian and the Reconciler. The House I enjoy the most are the Slayers, the Angels of Death. The host body would likely be someone on the fringes of society, someone who knew suffering and so attracted one who has similarly despaired. The Fallen would likely be a melancholic one wallowing in darkness and righteous anger, but still wanting to do better and having an insatiable drive to fight against the injustices that have become increasingly common across Creation. What I Am Looking For: I am primarily looking for a World of Darkness Chronicle and group to join! I am hoping for a game with depth and lots of lore, with a Storyteller that is as serious about their Chronicle as I would be for my character! This can be in-person in NYC, or online! The ONLY caveat regarding online play is that I would have to use either Demiplane or Roll20 since that is where I purchased the books that I have listed above! Of course, we can simply use online for chatting and use actual character sheets, etc. Availability: I am not available Thursday and Saturday nights EST as I have other games at those times.
