Hey! I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! I hope to tell amazing stories together 💛

Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

I am a very easy-going and jocular sort, prone to tomfoolery betimes, but know full well when to wear the frowny mask versus the smiley one. A former teacher, I am very newbie friendly (to both players and GMs), and am gooder than most with the word use-ing for to tell things and show other things and for the explaining. I am brand new and haven't got any experience really just from what I've seen when watching campaigns but not actually playing. I am on EST and would like to have a later start time around 9:30PM that lasts 3-4Hrs on a weekly basis. I have 3 kiddos who go to bed at 9PM that's why the later start time but if it needed to be a bit earlier, I could work with that as well depending on how much earlier. I’m looking for a consistent group, ideally in person in Houston, TX, meeting on Wednesday evenings or weekends. My schedule can vary, but once a time is set, I’m reliable and committed. I play with the party’s well‑being and the story’s momentum in mind. I’m not big on selfish character goals; I enjoy characters who grow through cooperation, tough decisions, and shared challenges. I’m here for narrative-first play involving emotional beats, character arcs, strange magic, mysteries, and the occasional “we’re in this together” moment. Combat is fun when it’s meaningful or cinematic, but I don’t need to punish goblins or reanimated corpses for a whole three-hour session. I'm most familiar with discord for voice and roll20 as a VTT but have experience using d&d beyond too. I've never played a non-d&d system but would be open to learning! playstyle I love lore and character/world building! roleplay, backstories, exploration, puzzle solving, political intrigue, discovering the mysteries of the universe, etc. are my favorite ways to get invested. the longer the lore doc the better, in my opinion! my playstyle is very narrative and roleplay focused. exploring the world and developing characters are the core foundations of any good d&d game for me. I love to embody my characters and put them through tough scenarios to see how they'll navigate and learn from the challenges, and to make the good moments in the campaign feel well deserved! I also like to take the lead during problem solving scenarios, like figuring out puzzles, making a plan of action, or piecing together a mystery. I love taking notes too, and will average about 800-1200 words of creative writing style notes per session that I always share with everyone! with that being said, I do believe combat is a great way to enhance and/or further the story, especially when everyone is descriptive with their actions. depending on session length, I'd prefer to have some kind of combat at least once every other session, though this is pretty flexible. availability I'm located in EST and currently only available on fridays and saturdays, though I can do any time for sessions as long as it ends before midnight EST.

Trying to find a consistent group to get to know that can play on weekends. Prefer DND 5E 2024, but I'm willing to play 2014 version, Daggerheart, PF2E, or similar feeling games, though I'd need time to learn PF2E or anything I didn't list specifically. Hi, I'm a 30y/o guy with at least 15 years of TTRPG experience, I've mainly played 5e, but i've tried different systems via oneshots or short campaigns. As a player I'm more combat focused, but don't think that I don't like to RP too. I play a variety of different characters so there's no one trope that I'm known for. I do work for 2-6 weeks at a time offshore, so I wouldn't be able to play for long periods of time. However when I'm home I'm able to make most days and times work. I'm willing to simply sit out during those days if everyone else is willing to play though. Although the systems I'd be more willing to play are 5e and Daggerheart, i'm willing to try others. I've been researching and been interested in a lot of other systems to try and broaden my TTRPG horizons, but I'd like to play under some experienced GMs first before I maybe try GMing them myself. Also, I really miss playing and would like to be part of a group. :D Games I'm looking for and my experience level: - Daggerheart (GMed Sablewood Messengers and know the rule book. Any campaign frame or game length, preferably at least a short campaign is okay!!) - Vampire the Masquerade (absolute newbie, know a little bit but definitely need help & explanation for lore & game) - Powered by the Apocalypse systems (also never played, most interested in Masks & Thirsty Sword Lesbians but would read into others as well!) - Candela Obscura (Read the quickstarter guide and very intrigued) What else I'm looking for: - 100% AI-free games. Non-negotiable. - Preferably a weekly or bi-weekly game on week-nights, sometime between 6pm - 11pm/12am CEST. I'm more roleplay preferential, I value character building both in the silly moments and in the more emotionally provocative. Min maxing is something I can manage but isn't what really draws me in. I always want everyone at the table to feel comfy and included, so lgbtq+ friendliness is important. My lines and veils are pretty standard, and I'm more than willing to work with everyone to make sure no bad times are had!

I've played D&D off & on for years, but I still feel very new to the game, especially as online part of it goes. I'm only so-so with role-playing, I'm more of a 'my character does/says' kind of guy than accents or garb. Though I have done other tricks like use mannerisms of my character so I keep 'in character'. I'm looking to play long term games. I prefer modules over heavy homebrewing, but a bit of it is pretty much always necessary, right... Even as I say that, there are three stories that I'd love to find a group to play with through them, as a character: Phandelver to Wildspace (just play thru modules from 0-Spelljammer), TMNTortles of Ravnica (self explanatory & probably heavily DM brewed), & Uprising in Undermountain... they all vary in brew necessity, but the latter one is a big goal I hope to achieve... a full run through current Undermountain, from the inside out as monstrous people trying to make things a little less wrong, while using the setting that is D&D's largest (afaik) dungeon, & it even has a couple dragons in it. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

I've been interested in TTRPG for many years but recently only gained the courage to actually try to play. I have a myriad of characters, some a little more homebrew than others, and prefer storytelling focused games with intensive worldbuilding. Characters: Chara: Half-Bronze dragon sorceress Kerian Kane: Half Elf warrior/paladin (has a bit of a homebrew mechanic) Thadeus "Pony" Goodman: Centaur ranger Rowd: Hound Archon paladin Maggs Madds: Faun bard Koimarra: Sphinx rogue, no magical abilities. (I've toned down the default sphinx stats to make her a fair challenge. She is essentially a cat shaped human who doesn't want to fly during combat because that makes you a big target and calls attention to you. She prefers not existing.)

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!
