I am partial to roleplaying, however, as I feel it is the one element you cannot find in other gaming formats. In the TTRPG Rock, Paper, Scissors game that takes place in the deep and cloistered recesses of my mind: ROC > RAI > RAW. I am open to learning and trying new systems. I am a very easy-going and jocular sort, prone to tomfoolery betimes, but know full well when to wear the frowny mask versus the smiley one. A former teacher, I am very newbie friendly (to both players and GMs), and am gooder than most with the word use-ing for to tell things and show other things and for the explaining. Hey guys, I'm Korben. I go by a lot of names, so call me whatever you want, I really do not care. I've played D&D constantly for about 7 (almost 8) years, and I've made it the only thing I really do outside of school and work and such. I really enjoy D&D, not particularly because of the combat or roleplay, but more so because of the pure creativity and lore in campaigns. It sparks my mind in ways I can't usually which is one of the reasons for me enjoying it so much. I do still enjoy combat and roleplay a lot though, but I might struggle to get into my characters voice sometimes. In terms of what I like to play, I dabble in a little bit of everything. I've played all the way from homebrew campaigns, to roleplay campaigns, to official campaigns, all the way to oneshots. I've played every genre immaginable ranging from high-fantasy, low-fantasy, sci-fi, historical, modern, horror, and puzzle.

Hello my name is Brandon; I am looking to get into a group of 5-6 players plus the DM for a long campaign. I am brand new and haven't got any experience really just from what I've seen when watching campaigns but not actually playing. I am on EST and would like to have a later start time around 9:30PM that lasts 3-4Hrs on a weekly basis. I have 3 kiddos who go to bed at 9PM that's why the later start time but if it needed to be a bit earlier, I could work with that as well depending on how much earlier. I'm completely new to TTRPGs, but I'd like to play.

Hiiee, I'm Claire (30,she/they) making some edits to my old posts. A little about me. I have been playing D&D since 2017 starting with 5e and dabbled in Vampire the Masquerade and Powered by the Apocalypse games. For time slot: I am for sure available on Thursday-Saturday anytime after 7:00pm U.S. CST. For characters, I tend to play spellcasters/support and I'm have three characters concepts in mind: an aasimar divination wizard, or a human or half-elf necromancer wizard (if UA is allowed), and a human or aasimar grave cleric, or a drow glamor bard or shadow sorcerer. I'm looking for a more roleplay focused group rather than a combat one (70/30 or 60/40 depending on the game). I'm open to any of the pre-written campaigns and some homebrew campaigns. I also low key have been wanting to do a World of Warcraft campaign (with 5e or 5.5e rules). For homebrew campaigns, I am looking for something that is either horror focused like Grimhallow, or Curse of Strahd settings or something similar to Strixhaven. I’m looking for a consistent group, ideally in person in Houston, TX, meeting on Wednesday evenings or weekends. My schedule can vary, but once a time is set, I’m reliable and committed. I play with the party’s well‑being and the story’s momentum in mind. I’m not big on selfish character goals; I enjoy characters who grow through cooperation, tough decisions, and shared challenges. High fantasy settings are my favorite. Rather than bringing a pre-made character to every campaign, I prefer creating one after learning about the setting. I enjoy building someone who naturally fits the world, themes, and party instead of trying to force an existing concept into the story. As a player, I believe I am reliable and respectful. If I commit to a campaign, you can expect me to show up on time, stay engaged, and respect both the DM's work and my fellow players. I enjoy collaborative storytelling and making sure everyone at the table gets their moment to shine. I'm a jax of all trades when it comes to creative stuff (drawing, painting, crafting, writing, roleplaying, etc.) and usually like to incorporate that into my campaigns! some of my favorite past and present media are project hail mary, arcane, bg3, phantom of the opera, hannibal (the tv series), and bands like my chemical romance, sleep token, and will wood. experience I've been listening to and watching d&d campaigns for the better part of a decade, with a year and a half of in-person play and a little under a year of online play, though I'm in a couple ongoing campaigns at the moment! I'm most familiar with discord for voice and roll20 as a VTT but have experience using d&d beyond too. I've never played a non-d&d system but would be open to learning! playstyle I love lore and character/world building! roleplay, backstories, exploration, puzzle solving, political intrigue, discovering the mysteries of the universe, etc. are my favorite ways to get invested. the longer the lore doc the better, in my opinion! my playstyle is very narrative and roleplay focused. exploring the world and developing characters are the core foundations of any good d&d game for me. I love to embody my characters and put them through tough scenarios to see how they'll navigate and learn from the challenges, and to make the good moments in the campaign feel well deserved! I also like to take the lead during problem solving scenarios, like figuring out puzzles, making a plan of action, or piecing together a mystery. I love taking notes too, and will average about 800-1200 words of creative writing style notes per session that I always share with everyone! with that being said, I do believe combat is a great way to enhance and/or further the story, especially when everyone is descriptive with their actions. depending on session length, I'd prefer to have some kind of combat at least once every other session, though this is pretty flexible. availability I'm located in EST and currently only available on fridays and saturdays, though I can do any time for sessions as long as it ends before midnight EST.

Hello I'd be interested in joining a group if possible. I am available Mon-sun starting at 7pm est except wed. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. I do prefer to focus more on the game than talking outside of game.

Hi! I'm Tako, I'm 25, and I just graduated from university. I'm from Texas, and some of my biggest hobbies are anime, video games, baking, TTRPGs, history, and, of course, sleeping. I've been playing D&D for around 7... maybe 8 years now? It's honestly been so long that I've lost count, but it's become one of my favorite hobbies. As for quirks, I definitely have a few. I have ADHD and dyslexia, so I can be a little scatterbrained at times, but I promise I mean well! Dislikes are mostly the obvious stuff—people being mean or rude. I also have two very important food opinions: oatmeal raisin cookies are a crime, and pineapple absolutely does not belong on pizza (spawn of the devil). I also prefer to avoid politics entirely, and I'm not a fan of AI being used for character references or story writing. One fun fact about me is that I can make tiramisu completely from scratch, which I'm pretty proud of! My favorite animal is the lion. When it comes to D&D, I absolutely love melee characters. There's just something satisfying about charging into the thick of a fight. That said, I'm trying to branch out and play more spellcasters to expand my comfort zone. No matter what I play, though, I tend to enjoy characters who serve as a light in the darkness—people who try to inspire hope even when everything seems bleak. Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. I love homebrews and I'm looking for a sandbox game with an experienced GM who understands and values player agency. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters as much for for the GM and other players are they are for me. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. Don't ask me for a character concept until I have some understanding of the campaign lore. I like to create characters that feel part of the world. Themes: I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I was first introduced to DnD5e online at the front end of the pandemic and have played multiple games since then. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice now and forever is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. I have my own Foundry server currently running v14 with no particular end in mind. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. I'm available any day except Thu and Sat. My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours. I'm not adverse to longer sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. My Setup: I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain. I don't use a web cam. FREE ON TUESDAYS, FRIDAYS, SATURDAY Hello there! I am a vetern M20+ player with some experience in pathfinder 1e. and I am looking for more pathfinder games to join. In terms of overral pathfinder experience, I played in one normal pathfinder game, one game using mythical power, and one using pathfinder spheres of power. So I can play any game of pathfinder using those, I am mostly interrest in using spheres of power, but its not mandatory; I can play without it. I started playing D&D 5e in college and eventually ran two medium-length campaigns as a GM before life got busy. Since then, I've kept my love for TTRPGs alive through one-shots, and now I'm hoping to find a dedicated group to call home. I've often played support characters, but I'm just as comfortable stepping into a leadership role when the moment calls for it. As a player I'm more combat focused, but don't think that I don't like to RP too. I play a variety of different characters so there's no one trope that I'm known for. I do work for 2-6 weeks at a time offshore, so I wouldn't be able to play for long periods of time. However when I'm home I'm able to make most days and times work. I don't have any preference when it comes to DM or Player, but I tend to gravitate towards DMing. Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

I'm Daniel, a 28yo dude looking to play either online or in person in the Minden, Nevada area. Can play pretty much any time on Wednesdays, preferably every other week. Looking for group and DM to play with that meets consistantly for a long term game. Experience: Been playing D&D on and off since maybe 2016, and have DM'd several games, though I'm looking to just be a player. Most of my experience is with 3.5e, though I'm farely familiar with 5e and have played a few one shots. I've also played Pathfinder 1e. Note that I haven't played anything in a few years now, so I may be a little rusty. I'm mostly looking to play D&D5.5e/2024, as I quite like some of the stuff they've done with the races, classes, and backgrounds. I don't know that I want to play a module. I'd rather play in a homebrew game, whether set in the Forgotten Realms or a similar setting. I am also interested in some of the new Ravenloft content. Class/Race Preferences: I love Warlocks and Necromancers first and foremost, but I also enjoy rogues, druids, bladesinger wizards. Currently itching to play a Reborn GOOlock leaning heavily into some good ol' cosmic horror. Role Play/Combat: My favorite games I've been in were pretty heavy in RP and made me feel an emotional connection to the player characters. At the same time, I do enjoy combat and enjoy the power fantasy of playing strong characters (though I'm also very into making an aesthetically/thematically pleasing character that may not be as strong as they could be). When it comes to combat, I don't like games where every combat encounter is Dark Souls the TTRPG. I don't mind a challenging encounter that makes me think tactically, or even the occasional encounter that isn't meant to be won, but when every encounter feels like the party is severely out-matched, that's when it stops being fun (I've been in one of those kinds of games). As I mentioned before, I do enjoy a good power fantasy, so balancing challenging encounters with some that are a breeze and make the players feel bad-ass, is the way to go for me. General Content: I like high and dark fantasy, horror, epic stories, emotional connections between characters. While I tend to lean toward serious characters and stories, comedic relief is more than welcome (and generally inevitable in my experience). Adult Content: I'm fine with mature themes if everyone else is.

We have both played a good understanding of the rules and have some experience under our belt (my friend more than me). We were hoping to find a game that is both serious but also light hearted.
