Thirty years ago, the second Death Star was destroyed, giving way for the formation of the New Republic. Duro, a world surrounded by orbital shipyards and ruled by corporate interests, now sits in the middle of the cold war between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. You are sent to provide support to an ambassador who seeks to find a peaceful resolution to the occupation. The chances of success are slim, but your characters soon find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy involving the formation of a new Dark Side religion. Are you a Jedi, bright eyed and ready to take on the world? A scoundrel, ready for an easy paycheck only to be forced into the role of a hero? Are you a droid, capable of feats of excellence beyond organic capabilities? The galaxy is full of possibilities for you to make your mark on the world! This game is meant to be an introduction to Star Wars Saga edition (with a few house rules to help an older system feel more modern). No prior experience with the system is necessary, though a love of Star Wars is appreciated. This takes place in a modified Legends Continuity to allow for players to be members of the New Republic and Luke’s new Jedi Order. Important Star Wars events and canon characters will NOT be the focus. This is a game about adventure, character growth, and story opportunities, not lore and living in someone else’s shadow. Players will begin play at level 1, but quickly level past that. The main reason for such a low level start is to help players learn the system. Saga Edition resembles D&D 3rd edition in many ways, with updates to make it more functional. PCs are not likely to be equally capable in combat, but the system’s focus is less focused on war gamey aspects than D&D and Pathfinder. A character who thrives in diplomacy and skill will find themselves an invaluable member of the party as healing is slow, difficult, and costly. Saga edition is also perhaps the most multiclass friendly d20 type system, with house rules to make it even more so. There is a lot of information, but as patient Game Master (Or Star Master HAH) I am willing to spend time to individually help PCs build their characters. What I require from you is a passion for the game, a desire to make characters that are fun to run FOR and to roleplay with your fellow players, and a willingness to fit the setting and vibe. This is not a game for fully evil characters or sith (this game is PERFECT for former darksiders however!)
