Update log - 13.05.2026 “A year of Groupfinder”

Its gonna be May. /images/general-media/1778679800_avRWtoFC.gifThis is gonna ruin the tour... Well, it already is May - and its time for this month’s overview of what we have done during the last month. We would like to keep you updated as to how the platform is evolving and growing - especially since many of our updates might be something you have not noticed (you can read the last month's update log here). Birthday.. Of sorts It was the end of April of last year when we released the current version of Groupfinder. Partly. Most of you might not be aware that Groupfinder was first launched in 2021. We first created the platform for the Estonian TTRPG community to help our local players find groups and players more easily. And it was well-received and used, prompting us to keep working on it, improving and tweaking. /images/general-media/1778679949_qEWkiP3e.jpgHow far we've come since 2021.  Many years later, we decided to step it up a notch and redesign the entire platform and open it up to the world. More than half a year later, Groupfinder (now called Groupfinder, not Grupileidja) was finally released. It took us a few months before we were ready for the global audience. In september, we had our ducks in a row and we started spreading the word about the platform. Users from all over the world slowly started discovering the site and signing up. Gaining initial traction was a difficult task - users would not bother to use Groupfinder, because there weren’t users on the platform. A vicious circle that eventually was resolved thanks to our early pioneers, willing to give us a shot and posted their profiles and groups here. And now, a year later, we can see the platform has almost 6000 registered users with over 1500 active profiles and almost 700 active groups.    Players and systems During the last month, we improved player post creation - choosing the game system is now more visual and clearer. In addition - the process has been integrated with the Library. If a system exists there, it will be more visually distinct. As well as linked to the corresponding Library entry page. Hopefully more players will discover alternative systems to try out. /images/general-media/1778680166_bQADP9rj.pngChoosing the correct systems has never been easier. On Groupfinder The player profile page itself has also been updated and refreshed in multiple ways, making your profile a better calling card for you. Panel is Dashboard We used to call the homepage, the Panel. But we realized, that it didn’t make that much sense to most users. So it is now Dashboard. Not a huge change - but a change nonetheless. The dashboard also received multiple updates and tweaks to make things less cluttered and messy. Library is getting stocked During the month, the library has received multiple new entries. By multiple - I believe we can say well over a hundred new entries have been added. There are multiple new tools, video creators and podcasts/actual play entries for you to discover. Waiting for your next session? Perfect time to start enjoying an actual play series to keep the hype going and perhaps be inspired by the way other groups play. Article series “Covering the basics” We also started with an introductory blog series called “Covering the basics”. Something to guide new players taking their first steps in the hobby. Currently there is one for “Making a character” and one for “How to start as a Dungeon Master”.    And while not part of the series, you might want to take a look at the “Safety tools” article. Something to consider when starting a group with people you’ve never played with before. Tweaks & fixes We've kept a watchful eye on various bugs and problems that needed addressing. The mobile notifications were overly aggressive and at times got a bit spammy - we've told the messenger to calm down.  In messenger you can now react to messages, making it easier for you to agree upon a certain ruling or arrangement. Or, if you like, you can send an image of surprised Pikachu. Sending images in messenger is now possible. Sending a message to someone, but they just won't respond? Hover over their timezone on their profile and see what time it is for them. Maybe they are sleeping. Maybe you should also be? May-be that is all Thanks for reading this month’s update. We will keep on working on things in the background. You can join the Groupfinder discord server if you want to share some thoughts or problems with the platform.   And as always - if you have found Groupfinder useful in any way - be sure to share it with others. Either via a social media post, or just tell your friends about it. You sharing Groupfinder helps us grow. And with more users - more groups. Till next time.

Fallen future

Homebrew Homebrew

Our world used to be normal. That was before a small, fanatical cult of demon worshipers ripped open the fabrics of reality, violently dragging pieces of alien dimensions into ours. In doing so, they shattered everything we once knew. They unleashed horrific, unseen creatures into our eco-system, and even the familiar animals and insects of our world have been permanently mutated by the magical fallout. Survival here means constantly fighting the cult's influence, uncovering the mysteries of this fractured reality, and protecting the innocent people you meet along the way. Amidst the chaos, remnants of humanity have gathered in isolated villages, desperately clinging to the fading science and technology of the old world. Living alongside them are displaced extra-dimensional refugees who were dragged through the rifts. These travelers are teaching us their magic, fusing ancient science with alien mysticism so we can finally rebuild. Living monsters weren't the only things dragged through the rifts. Power-infused runes, lost old-world technologies, and alien treasures are waiting in the wilds. You just have to survive long enough to find them. Campaign Details

Zephir1991
Hi, I’m Zephir1991. I’ve been enjoying tabletop roleplaying games for around 16 years, with Dungeons & Dragons being my main passion. I both play and host games online, mainly through Discord, with a small group of players that meet weekly. Right now I’m running several campaigns including: • Chains of Asmodeus (On pause) • Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep (Saturdays) • Out of the Abyss (Mondays) • Icewind Dale (starting soon) (Thursdays) My usall play time is 8pm (GMT norwegian time) and usally play for up to 3 hours. I’m also currently a player in Curse of Strahd.(Fridays) I’m always happy to chat with fellow players, meet new people, or welcome listeners who simply want to sit in and experience a session. My Discord is open to both new and experienced players. I’m also interested in meeting people locally for in-person games, either to host or join a table, so if you're nearby and enjoy tabletop games, feel free to reach out. If you're interested, send me a message and I’ll share my Discord link.

PF2E Season of Ghosts (Ongoing)

Hello, I am looking a person to fill into an ongoing Season of Ghosts campaign for the Pathfinder 2e System! It is a heavy downtime, horror-mystery style campaign revolving around the small haunted town of Willowshore. We have so far completed around a quarter of it so far. We are relatively new to Pathfinder 2E, with some members being newer than others. We play weekly, but with an odd schedule of 5 to 7 days between games. Next game would be Tuesday and after that either Sunday or Monday, for example. We play at 18h15/19h15/20h15 (West/Central/Eastern Europe time) on weekdays and at 15h/16h/17h (WEST/CEST/EEST) on Sundays. We do not play Saturdays because I have another ongoing campaign I DM on Saturdays. We play using Discord Voice Chat and on FoundryVTT. Session length is usually upwards of two hours and a half. We utilize Ancestry Paragon, Free Archetype and a nerfed/homebrew version of Starfinder's Skill Paragon ruling. Feel free to reach out and ask further questions if you want.

Godfall - Dark Fantasy x Steampunk Campaign Thurs

Paid game Paid game
Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 4-6 players who love to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - you find yourself in Fracture, a lawless, violent land, that will make or break you. Whatever has led you here might catch up with you eventually, but thankfully, there are plenty of opportunities here to make a few gold and make a name for yourself as long as you can keep from getting shot long enough. Who knows, these barren lands might even hold answers to the fundamentals of this world. How I DM: I encourage roleplay both between party members and with NPCs - character development is one of my favourite parts. Combat serves a purpose rather than being randomly thrown at you. Rule of Cool rules! If you want to try something, ask! I will provide you with a multitude of plot threads, you can choose whether you follow them or not, but every choice you make will have consequences. About the game: New and experienced players are welcome. $20/session Thursdays 6:30pm - 9:30pm AEST (9:30am BST) 2024 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Starting at level 3 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.

Alrightyyyy I don't really like talking about myself much but yoooo I'm Thorin (yes real name hahaha). Enjoy storytelling as a whole but have always been a bit lame at it so I enjoy sitting back and being enthralled by somoeone else's stories and taking part. While definitely inexperienced when it comes to the roleplay aspect of DnD and would prefer a less spotlighty presence overall, I do want to learn. Anyways ciao for now brown cow

Blades in the Dark
ClockSync is a browser-based tool for game masters that shares progress clocks, counters, timers and switches with players in real time. What it does: Create and manage Blades in the Dark-style progress clocks Share your clock board live with players — no login required Link items through a trigger system: when one clock fills, others react automatically Use counters for resources, timers for pressure, switches for states Trigger system: Items can be linked so that game events cascade. A clock filling up can start a timer, flip a switch, or advance another clock — creating the kind of ticking-bomb tension that makes sessions memorable. Built for Blades, works everywhere: Designed with Forged in the Dark games in mind, but ClockSync works with any system that uses progress clocks — Apocalypse World, Trophy, Agon, or your own homebrew.
