Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. I love homebrews and I'm looking for a sandbox game with an experienced GM who understands and values player agency. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters as much for for the GM and other players are they are for me. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. Don't ask me for a character concept until I have some understanding of the campaign lore. I like to create characters that feel part of the world. Themes: I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I was first introduced to DnD5e online at the front end of the pandemic and have played multiple games since then. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice now and forever is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. I have my own Foundry server currently running v14 with no particular end in mind. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. I'm available any day except Thu and Sat. My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours. I'm not adverse to longer sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. My Setup: I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain. I don't use a web cam. I enjoy character-driven games with party relationships, meaningful combat, exploration, mystery, downtime, and earned emotional moments. Ideal balance: about 50% roleplay, 30% combat, 20% exploration. I like sincere games with humor, but not constant bits, edgelord behavior, or main character syndrome. I fit best with players who share spotlight, cooperate, respect boundaries, and care about everyone’s character mattering. Consent and safety are important to me. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information (keeping notes) and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come into a campaign with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

I love darker fantasy, horror vibes, witchy characters, emotional backstories, morally complicated choices, and party dynamics that feel like they matter. I enjoy roleplay a lot, especially when characters have secrets, trauma, loyalty issues, messy friendships, or slowly built trust. I also enjoy combat when it feels connected to the story and gives characters a chance to be clever, dramatic, or protective of the party. Hi I'm Edward. I'm an older player, been playing for about 4 years. While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. I love games that are challenging with lots of difficult choices and lean in to the party working together with the DM to create a story. I would grab at an opportunity to play in person but I've tried gaming clubs and find I can't get on with the volume of players and noise. Hi! I'm Tako, I'm 25, and I just graduated from university. I'm from Texas, and some of my biggest hobbies are anime, video games, baking, TTRPGs, history, and, of course, sleeping. I've been playing D&D for around 7... maybe 8 years now? It's honestly been so long that I've lost count, but it's become one of my favorite hobbies. As for quirks, I definitely have a few. I have ADHD and dyslexia, so I can be a little scatterbrained at times, but I promise I mean well! Dislikes are mostly the obvious stuff—people being mean or rude. I also have two very important food opinions: oatmeal raisin cookies are a crime, and pineapple absolutely does not belong on pizza (spawn of the devil). I also prefer to avoid politics entirely, and I'm not a fan of AI being used for character references or story writing. One fun fact about me is that I can make tiramisu completely from scratch, which I'm pretty proud of! My favorite animal is the lion. When it comes to D&D, I absolutely love melee characters. There's just something satisfying about charging into the thick of a fight. That said, I'm trying to branch out and play more spellcasters to expand my comfort zone. No matter what I play, though, I tend to enjoy characters who serve as a light in the darkness—people who try to inspire hope even when everything seems bleak. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! I am currently wanting to find a group who enjoys both serious and fun moments for games! I also love my little guys like Snoopy and Woodstock, Eeyore, Heihei, Little Brother, Pascal and many more. A bit about my DnD experience? I've been playing for about 7 years. I've never finished a campaign but I've been in multiple long term campaigns. Currently I am in four, two online, two in person, all have been going for more than a year. I have been both a player and a DM but personally, dmming just wasn't for me. It felt like a job to me as opposed to feeling like I'm playing a game with friends. I get very heavily into role play and prefer the role play experience to the combat, but that's not to say I don't like or want combat. I love building character relationships and dynamics and watching as relationships change throughout the campaign. Im also a very detailed note taker. In all four of my campaigns I'm considered the best note taker and am usually for this reason the one that does recaps whenever we have longer pauses than usual. In my online campaigns I even go as far as to post my notes in a designated Discord Channel for everyone to see and look back on. I'm Daniel, a 28yo dude looking to play either online or in person in the Minden, Nevada area. Can play pretty much any time on Wednesdays, preferably every other week. Looking for group and DM to play with that meets consistantly for a long term game. Experience: Been playing D&D on and off since maybe 2016, and have DM'd several games, though I'm looking to just be a player. Most of my experience is with 3.5e, though I'm farely familiar with 5e and have played a few one shots. I've also played Pathfinder 1e. Note that I haven't played anything in a few years now, so I may be a little rusty. I'm mostly looking to play D&D5.5e/2024, as I quite like some of the stuff they've done with the races, classes, and backgrounds. I don't know that I want to play a module. I'd rather play in a homebrew game, whether set in the Forgotten Realms or a similar setting. I am also interested in some of the new Ravenloft content. Class/Race Preferences: I love Warlocks and Necromancers first and foremost, but I also enjoy rogues, druids, bladesinger wizards. Currently itching to play a Reborn GOOlock leaning heavily into some good ol' cosmic horror. Role Play/Combat: My favorite games I've been in were pretty heavy in RP and made me feel an emotional connection to the player characters. At the same time, I do enjoy combat and enjoy the power fantasy of playing strong characters (though I'm also very into making an aesthetically/thematically pleasing character that may not be as strong as they could be). When it comes to combat, I don't like games where every combat encounter is Dark Souls the TTRPG. I don't mind a challenging encounter that makes me think tactically, or even the occasional encounter that isn't meant to be won, but when every encounter feels like the party is severely out-matched, that's when it stops being fun (I've been in one of those kinds of games). As I mentioned before, I do enjoy a good power fantasy, so balancing challenging encounters with some that are a breeze and make the players feel bad-ass, is the way to go for me. General Content: I like high and dark fantasy, horror, epic stories, emotional connections between characters. While I tend to lean toward serious characters and stories, comedic relief is more than welcome (and generally inevitable in my experience). Adult Content: I'm fine with mature themes if everyone else is.

26 year old player. I've played around 10 sessions of D&D 5e, DM'd a few sessions of 5.5e, and played some Cyberpunk RED. My preferred time would probably be a mid morning to noon start time on Sundays, but I'm flexible with exact timing, and I could also do Monday, Wednesday, or Friday as long as it's after 5:00. I've been playing TTRPG's for around 5 years I'm most familiar with D&D 5e I've also played in Avatar Legends(PBTA),Call of Cthulhu, Cypher System, and Lancer(Not a preferred game) As well as in Homebrew systems, which I am open to, as well as other TTRPG's I'm not as familiar with I am quick to catch on and learn be it systems or party/player dynamics I like character roleplay, having the chance to interact with eachother and the world around, so combat is not necessity for me, but I do enjoy it. That being said I find I am less of a fan of full combat games where majority of every single session is combat.

I prefer exploration and combat, not very good with roleplay myself but I don't mind other players being RP heavy. I've played D&D off & on for years, but I still feel very new to the game, especially as online part of it goes. I'm only so-so with role-playing, I'm more of a 'my character does/says' kind of guy than accents or garb. Though I have done other tricks like use mannerisms of my character so I keep 'in character'. I'm looking to play long term games. I prefer modules over heavy homebrewing, but a bit of it is pretty much always necessary, right... Even as I say that, there are three stories that I'd love to find a group to play with through them, as a character: Phandelver to Wildspace (just play thru modules from 0-Spelljammer), TMNTortles of Ravnica (self explanatory & probably heavily DM brewed), & Uprising in Undermountain... they all vary in brew necessity, but the latter one is a big goal I hope to achieve... a full run through current Undermountain, from the inside out as monstrous people trying to make things a little less wrong, while using the setting that is D&D's largest (afaik) dungeon, & it even has a couple dragons in it.
